Anyone else having problems logging onto this site lately, or is it just me? For about the last week my account doesn’t stay logged in and when I try to log in I have to make numerous attempts to log in before it will log in.

West Bromwich Albion FC / West Midlands Football Supporters
« on: July 03, 2019, 02:32:59 AM »
Something I have been pondering is the differences in the supporters of our local clubs. I am not including Walsall, purely because I can only ever remember properly chatting to one Walsall fan and that was before a pre season friendly at Fellows Park in 1986 (she was gorgeous too!).

Though the demographic of the support for supporters of Albion, B(lose), Vile and the Dogheads should be similar, I think it is fair to say that there are many differences.

Of the other three B(lose) seem the most similar to us, relatively realistic, always disappointed, and relatively level headed, though during the Fry era when they had money to spend they did change a bit.

Whereas Vile and the Dogheads seem to have an arrogance and sometimes deluded opinion of themselves and their club.

So my question is, is it the club that causes the fan to be like that or do the clubs react to the way their fans are? Vile and the Dogheads do seem to be more ambitious as clubs and always have been, even if it causes financial difficulty, the differences in main stand built at Albion and Wolves in late 70s being an example.

Would Albion be more ambitious if our support was as demanding and arrogant as our two main rivals?

Would our rivals be less ambitious if their support was as tolerant of failure as ours?

West Bromwich Albion FC / Kits

Just a bit of fun seeing as new home kit was revealed today, but if UEFA or FIFA decided that clubs could no longer wear stripes, and I wouldn’t put it past those organisations, what would you have as the Albion home shirt. I have always liked the Ajax kit, but obviously replacing the red with Navy Blue.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Best/Worst Memories of Games Against Vile
« on: November 30, 2018, 09:16:18 PM »
I know we have another game beforehand, but the derby is a week away so wondered what memories people have?

Good memories - Steve Hunts late equaliser Xmas 1985 led to one of the best celebrations on terraces I can remember; Valentines scuffed finish on Easter Monday, me and a mate were thrown out the Brummie shortly after and just paid back into the Woodman; Mulumbu breaking the long sequence of not winning, great celebrations and a guy in front of me needed medical attention sure he was having heart attack; walking from Witton to Handsworth along 11 bus route after a dreadful 0-0 Friday night draw with some like minded souls, none of the numerous seals we met fancied discussing the game with us.

In Between memory - getting dragged out the rainbow by dad in early 80s aged about 12 during a 2-1 defeat as my Viler step brother was giving it large so I leathered him, and we were scrapping all the way to the car.

Bad Memories - Numerous heavy defeats particularly two 3-0 s in 77/78 season. For the game at Vile aged about 10 I was in bottom of Trinity by the Holte in full colours, it was horrible, listening to the seal stamp and clap.
