Clean sheet for Lincoln today against Charlton..Palmer playes really well..no sign of any adverse effects from the mauling by Liverpool in midweek...Morton not in the squad again..

Won’t be for a while, done his shoulder bad apparently.

I believe we are still paying his wages, all of them according to Appleton.

Just saw that Tim, bit of a strange one but I suppose the club feel that by helping Lincoln out in this way, it pressures them into giving our lads more game time.

Soule badly needs this move. He looks a bit too small to cut it in top level mens football but this loan move should give him game time to develop as much as he can.

Lincoln reported it as a short term loan to cover for morton whilst injured. Personally think he needs the season out on loan.

If Soule has a good spell there then he will probably extend. The club will just take the view that they don't want Morton and Soule sitting on the bench together.

Lots of Albion interest today.

At Lincoln, Palmer starts with Soule on the bench.

Windsor makes his debut at Grimsby in league 2, while Griffiths and Azaz both start for Cheltenham.

In the national league, Shotton starts for Woking and Clayton-Phillips is on the bench for Solihull Moors.

Morton is injured so misses out while Doncaster don't have a game so Tulloch gets more timw to recover.

Clayton Phillips is injured and out for a month or so. It’s his cousin Niall Clayton on bench. Goalkeeper.

You learn something every day Sammy. I did find it a bit weird they kept referring to him as just Clayton.

It was a bit of a swing and a miss for the loanees today.

Josh Griffiths managed his 5th clean sheet of the season and third on the trot. I think he has conceded just 2 goals in 7 games at the start of this season.

That’s just about the only positive. Azaz was subbed off at half time after a quiet game in the same match. My comment after the last game remains - he will maybe need to add a bit of consistency to his game rather than just moments of brilliance but that will hopefully come.

Owen Windsor also had a quiet game at Grimsby in a 0-0 draw, but still got around 75 minutes under his belt.

Alex Palmer conceded 2 in a loss for Lincoln city. One of them was a penalty that he dived the right way for. Jamie Soule was an unused sub in the same game.

Saul Shotton was part of a Woking defence that imploded in the final 10 minutes of the game and suffered a 4-0 loss to Chesterfield.

Midweek highlights of Cheltenham v Grimsby. Some good and some bad for us. Josh Griffiths seems to have had a game to forget, absolute howler for Grimsby's 2nd as he tries to catch a shot straight at him, only for it to squirm through his arms. Cheltenham's defending doesn't help him though for any of the goals as they allow Grimsby loads of time to shoot.

Brilliant goal from Windsor, who reacts to a poor Griffiths clearance and poor defending to race through and score.

Palmer, Griffiths and Shotton all get clean sheets. Sad to see so many of our loan army out injured though.

Soule once again an unused sub - Lincoln always did seem a bit of an ambitious first (real) loan for Soule, but atleast it's only short term.

Friend of mine is a Grimsby fan and they love Windsor. Won the game for them with a run from the half way line to get the penalty. Great to hear about the talent coming through.

So effectively he made two goals. Windsor has come a long way in a short time. He's starting to look exciting. Let's hope he continues to positively progress.

I watched the whole Lincoln game today, and Palmer was excellent in judgment and performance . Big guy , quick on his feet, brave, looks the real deal. Our number one next season I think, unless there is a radical improvement from SJ.
