I thought he was a lot better in the second half, didnt do a great deal in the first apart from the great assist for the goal.

I maybe completely wrong (and correct if so) but his loan ends on the 3rd of Jan, and there is a recall clause of 28 days. I think that is the 1st of Jan. so there really is no point.

According to the official website we can recall Thomas and Thorne after Saturdays game if required.

Other than we're playing Fulham at home on the 1st of Jan if we want to give him some time then.

Wood's two goals for Millwall against Brighton, both very classy finishes.

George Thornes goal was very good yesterday, dribbling past 2 players and then a tight finish. Looking at hat the Peterborough fans were saying yesterday, they were very impressed stating he was the best player on the pitch and looks like "the next Michael Carrick" and an "England regular of the future".  Hopefully he can keep progressing and then maybe get a shot at a fist team place here next season.

Woods second goal was also great.

I know he scored yesterday but does anyone have any idea how Thorne has done in his loan spell overall? January could be a big chance for him if Clarke wishes to utilise him alongside Yacob

After a slow start Thorne is doing very well , Posh fans have taken to him and compare him to Carrick.

If possible i'd bring Wood and Thorne home for Jan, play them both at least twice, just to show them that they are part of our plans, then send them back to the Championship for the rest of the season.

We need another central guy who can put in a tackle and make the simple pass. If it turns out to be Thorne i'll be delighted.

I'm on record here many times as being a fan of Woods, I just dont think we're at the level yet to sell off young talent like that for money we dont really need.
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!

Appears Thorne had another stonker today against the Dingles. Peterborough fans desperate to keep him for the season, he has changed their season. For a 19 year old to be controlling a championship teams midfield is very promising. Lets hope he can keep it up.

Latest from the Peterborough E.T after yesterday's win at Wolves..
GEORGE THORNE 8

Such a calming influence on the rest of the side. Never has to hurry.

I work with a load of Posh fans , i keep hearing them raving about young Thorne and also how gets" stuck in" which does suprise me a little.

Great to hear. When I've seen him for us he has always seemed to lack the confidence to stamp his authority on the game and take responsibility on the pitch, from the sound of his loan deal with Portsmouth and now Peterborough it appears he may be finally doing that.

George Thorne- taken from the son to play against the father. You could write a novel on a premise like that!

Oh if he scores the winner you're onto something there. If he scores on OG we could have a conspiracy theory on our hands!

Peterborough fans quite sad to see him go, some have said he is the next Frank Lampard or a Michael Carrick :P  Lets hope so. Probaly be on the bench for the Man United game but am sure he will get a chance in the cup ( QPR.)

Thorne has always reminded me of Carrick when I've seen him play. Granted its not been on too many occasions but there are similarities.

I think he's going to be a top player and it sounds like this loan has done him the world of good.
