It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

10 man Wolves beat Southampton 2-1 away. Looks like that's the end for Jones.

I think it's the end for Southampton. A bit like Coventry in the 90's, they have been clinging on for a few years now, times up.

Not really a surprise. Apparently made some pretty weird statements lately.

They wouldn't be that amd or would they?

I think they need a 'Big Sam' short term deal to have any chance but i think they are down regardless of who they appoint.

He was a disastrous appointment. His comments in recent weeks have been even more bizarre.

It just seems that before his appointment his spell at Stoke had been forgotten and it was just what he had achieved at Luton

More than a hint of schadenfreude to a comment about him from a Viler online earlier. It appears he's gone from being 'the most fouled player in the Premier League' to a 'cheating scum bag' in a relatively short amount of time. Oh dear, what can the matter be......... ;D ?

To be fair, it was a great tackle by Grealish on Grealish for the pen! Remember he went over a blade of grass before in a play off game!

Chris Wood completes permanent move to Forest from Newcastle for 15m after triggering 3 appearance contract clause.  ;D

In light of such a deal, Ron I'm sorry for laughing at your low appearance clause you offered to Bartley as it was clearly a lot tougher to reach than Woods at Forest.

That's one way to get a permanent move through the backdoor when you're tied up with admin and need to concentrate on other deals. Chelsea take note.

Going off on a slight tangent perhaps but I can't help think we had someone lined up to replace Bartley only for the deal to fall through with Bartley seen as insurance. Expensive policy perhaps but you win some and you lose some.

Ed: strike that off as it suggests a modicum of scouting and forward thinking. Silly me  ;D .

2 bids in for Man Utd, with the Glazers likely to pocket a fair few billion pounds for very little investment.

A bit depressing, the morally preferable bid is from billionaire chemical engineer Jim Ratcliffe, who after being a high profile backer of the Brexit campaign, moved to the EU at the point we left it, domiciling in Monaco so he didn't have to pay the tax man a bit more money.

The more depressing bid is yet another Middle Eastern royal family member, this time its a Qatari Prince who is the son of PSG's owner. The middle east are slowly but surely buying up all of the key institutions in football, they have huge influence in European football at club and confederation level already, pretty much run the Asian football federation and I'm sure will eventually find a way to run FIFA as well.

Hard to imagine how local clubs for local communties will survive the creeping influence of suspicious international backers.
