Not inspired yet, and this game is why they want VAR, it's the only thing of note that's happened when
the road to the summit has dips, keep the faith when navigating those dips !!

If you look at the VAR decision, a fair result. If we win Monday, gap to Fulham just 2 points. And they have a difficult programme.

Not going to make any difference we are relegated anyway so no need for the melodrama.

Only fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

No point supporting if you have no hope.

Its called false hope.

It's a defence mechanism.

It will only hurt more in the end to those who fail to accept the inevitable.

I’m with you Atomic. From my first experience of relegation in 1973 through to today I’ve eventually learned the best way of coping is to have no expectations.

And let’s be realistic - an amazing result at Chelsea, but we’ve won 4 out of 30 games. Poor teams sometimes have a good day but are rarely able to put consistently good performances together, and by any measure we are a poor team.

I can’t affect the results either way, so I try to stay relaxed. I’m getting too old to be able to cope with the worrying.

What’s gone is irrelevant, the teams we are competing with are only slightly better so, if we out perform them we can stay up.
Simple maths really.
I feel sorry for anyone who is not reinvigorated right now, it’s what football is all about.

Do fans of other clubs hold such a pessimistic view as many of ours? Has it something to do with ambition?

I haven't given up hope, hadn't before the Chelsea game nevermind after it, but it's still a massive ask. Realistically I think we will get around 30 points.

Justice served after that ridiculous VAR decision tonight.

How can it be false hope when mathematically we’re not yet relegated? If there’s a chance in life of something positive being achieved, it’s better to enjoy the experience, then being negative and giving up. As a genuine matter of interest, at what point did you give up believing during the great escape season?

If results go our way this week - Burnley and West Brom wins then 5 points with 7 games to go - when Newcastle and Fulham have to play each other...we’ll, it’s a long shot but a long shot is still a possibility! So being as football is an escape from the daily grind for me I’ll choose to maintain hope and enjoy it rather than make it become a part of the daily grind. Don’t get me wrong - it’s fell into that category a few times this season!

Genuinely ruining the sport. It’s not hyperbole. It’s destroying the visceral release of emotion after goals since you know it has to go to VAR

It’s pathetic. Wasn’t clear at all you could easily say his “T-shirt sleeve line” was level. A fast sport thrives of spontaneity. Slows everything down and kills it.
