Another thing following the penalty decision, is that I think we're too nice! A couple of times at corners we could have given the referee a decision to make! I don't condone it but it's becoming a part of the game and I don't think we're cute enough sometimes

Poor refereeing performance tonight, the standard really has dropped, however, the mental effect of that poor penalty decision, decided the game!
Our short falls up front will prevent us from progressing!

Bit of wrestling at that corner, chabolah had his arm pulled, we are not cute enough, maybe someone should have thrown themselves to the floor and tested the mettle of the referee, not that I advocate cheating :D

Lack of a recognised striker is hindering us, it's all right others chipping in with goals, but we need a potent 20 a season striker! When was the last time we had one of them?

It really is a mental issue, it happens a lot when you've had a poor decision go against you, as it undoes all your plans and wrecks the game plan! It's almost as if it disheartens everyone

No marking at all there.
For all Grady's skill, I'm wondering if he is a liability in away games, gives the ball away too cheaply for me!

Add to all of the above, the insane amount of money at the top table and despite failings of some owners at lesser clubs, currently Southend, Scunthorpe could see them disappear for a relative pittance. These clubs have loyal fans and their clubs are important to them and the pyramid needs to be sustainable, it's not just about the top 6.
Didn't Bury go under for an amount less than Wayne Rooney weekly wage?

Geez, get off the lads back, he's having to play nearly every game as we have no other options! He cost £300k he's not going to be a Marco van Bastian, he came from Salford in league 2, he'd be a decent squad player when others a fit!

Same old faces, same old line up,same old football
I agree, I thought Carlos might be different, but like all other managers in recent times, reluctant to play new signings or young up and coming prospects.
Surely Maja and Sarmiento are up to speed by now!

Cant see England getting out of the group, kept Eddie Jones in the job far too long and theyre full of big time Charlies now with places almost guaranteed{where have I seen that before ;D}
Steve Borthwick, not long enough in the job, but is he strong enough to make the big calls required?

Refs make mistakes end of. Swings and roundabouts used to generally even things out over a season. VAR was supposed to eliminate these errors, but this is all subjective and controlled by another ref and it all mushrooms because they make mistakes too! In my opinion VAR is just a waste of resources, together with this ruling about putting the offside flag up half an hour later its becoming a joke, no wonder games are lasting 100 minutes plus. The only thing technology wise that's any good is the goal line tool which is based on fact, even then the cameras miss things ala the lucky Villa vs Sheff Utd. All in all I think we should go back to how it was.
I think all anybody wants is consistency and that ain't going to happen anytime soon!
Btw what is the natural position for your arm to be in when someone blasts a ball at you from 5 yards anyway 😂

I've been out all afternoon, haven't seen or heard anything about the game, but well chuffed to see my 0-3 prediction rammed back down my throat.
Is it a case of, as said by many on here, we need to score 3 to win!

Can't see us beating these 0-3 I fear!
Wish I could be optimistic but feel like it's all been drained out of me!
If we can survive this season I'll be pleased and think we could turn things around with a bit of stability wherever that's going to come from?

Let's all get behind him.

He's got a poisoned chalice with these owners.

We have to keep the faith, he's not perfect but he's the best thing to happen to us in years IMO.
Hear, hear, not to forget a few aged players and one or two who have seen off the last few managers, talk about doing a job with one hand tied behind his back! I just wish one or two more shared his enthusiasm because let's face it, it's going to be a long hard season!

I was going to predict 2-0 to Blackburn, as I can't see us scoring at the moment! If they score a third it could become embarrassing from day 1.
I know we are in for a long season, but this isn't the start we need, as the confidence will drain from this team!

Good news if Luton now in for Blackburn keeper Kaminski.
