So take the extra prize money and still have a chance of a big team in round five surely (with higher prize money for the losers)? Made £105,000 today by winning.

Are you saying we cannot beat Man u in their current situation?

My original post even stated of they beat Wigan, so there is chance of glory and a big payday.

Bottle it? Please explain

Managers all the way back to Mowbray been treating the cup as distraction and making too many changes. If we get far enough it's harder for that to happen.

Even when we got to the semi we made hard work or Charlton I think? We did a raft or changes v Peterborough away and just had enough to squeak through. By the time we went v Coventry we were just on a run in the league and were like a juggernaut and were far enough in cup for Mowbray to take it serious enough.

Not a slight on Don Carlos (and I mean what choice did he have today with our injury list) but our club really hasn't given the cup it has deserved for 20 + years

I think he's saying take the 4th round prize money and then take the extra money generated by a tie with (a) United in the fifth.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

Hope we avoid the Premier teams and the top 4 in the Championship. I know we should concentrate on the League, but the football fan in me would love a cup run.
At the end of the day though, hoping isn't going to change anything. We have to take  whatever numbers come out of the hat.

Maidstone at home, ideally, to enable us to do what we did yesterday in resting a number of players, blooding youngsters, and retaining a very good chance of getting through.

Yeah i'd like lower league teams too. Get the backups and kids valuable experience and rest the seniors.

This would be my shout.

Apart of me would fancy Maidstone away purely to visit the ground.

Obvious ones Big team for Money, Local Rival for Money, Wrexham for Money.
Personally Nice Easy tie although I would fancy Man Utd to laugh if we beat them or a local side. But prefabably Nice Easy tie to blood the youth. As the further we go it is inevitable that we get a big boy. So for know take the lower league sides and progress we are ball 9 I think

Horrible draw. Really would prefer to avoid the Dingles given their current strengths and our depleted squad. Need a Brentford win.

I fear the long winless streak for the Dingles at the Hawthorns will be coming to an end.

Only in our darkest hours do they have a chance but i would expect them to beat us to be fair.

They’ll lose to Brentford on purpose….they don’t want none of this

What a draw it could be

So what? Only ahead of us due to financial doping, not merit. Moreover, the hilarity if we do prevail...

It's a free hit at beating them again providing they get past Brentford, and what a boost it could be to our season to get one over them.

This is why I'm not convinced we'll be on TV if we play Wolves. Priority will be given to all PL ties, any ties involving the big sides, and a token game or two for the lower leagues.

Plus it's dependent on the replay. The TV picks will have happened before then.

Have to deal with Brentford first but having watched them recently, they are starting to click and score more goals. A local derby at home and the FA Cup being the FA Cup marginally levels things up but this could be embarrassing if they play at their best. Hope it happens as opportunity knocks... and we haven't had much of that in recent seasons.
