Can anyone tell me what is wrong with Gibbs?  Is he injured?  We haven't seen him since he was sent off.
He's served his three match ban hasn't he?

Bilic said he's not applying himself well enough in training.

Since Ivanovic came in we've conceded one goal in four halves of football and that was an OG. That tells you something.

And someone wants Bartley in ahead of him?

I know football is a game of opinions but geez!

Some people do have a particularly warped opinion when it comes to Bartley and somehow manage to forget the sheer volume of goals he has single handedly cost us.

I think we all know what the team should be for this game save for the right back where you could argue between two, neither of whom are good enough.

so that makes him an ideal man to mark Mitrovic surely

I think Mitrovic will have the easiest night of his season so far against Ivanovic.

And you think it would be more difficult against Kyle Bartley?  :o

Have you watched him since he joined us? Someone far more technically proficient than I could provide a showreel of his utter clangers in that time and the number of goals that have been conceded as a result.

His hauling over of Vardy in the Leicester game summed him up for me.

We have to play Ivanovic now that we have been short sighted in getting rid of Hegazi.

I'm not sure I've seen anything of Diangana so far that makes him an automatic starter.  Perhaps if he came on later in the game against tired defenders he would get past them.

I think will start Livermore against Fulham viewing the first 60 minutes as attrition.  He could  then maybe push Krovinovic into his place and bring on Grady.

But having spent so much personal capital on getting him in he'll probably start regardless of form.

Goal at Everton, plus far better than the alternatives.

Will despair if Livermore starts.

Agree re Diangana being the best option.

I think it's a game where we don't need Livermore to start. We need to be moving the ball quickly through midfield to attack so having Diangana and Robinson out wide with Pereira as the 10 behind Grant and Gallagher and Krovinovic in CM would be my preferred option.

I know you really don't want him to start, but do you hand on heart think Bilic will actually drop him?

If he does drop him, it shows that Slaven is a true manager, and will take the decisions the team and game require.

Probably not.

I hope he will see Fulham as a game where we don't need Livermore to start. He subbed him on Monday which I think was tactical but Livermore was having his worst game of the season so far.

I'd question Diangana playing on current form
Me too

                        Johnstone
O’Shea.    Semi.              Ivanovic.    Gibbs

 Furlong.   Gallagher.   Krov.   Robinson
                        Pererira

                        Grant

Automatic selections for me are as follows:

Johnstone
Ajayi
Ivanovic
Gallagher
Krov
Robinson
Pereira
Grant

Pretty good when you can get 8 automatic selections.  I haven't included Grady because he is not setting the world on fire but I'd include him against Fulham.

So all that is needed is to pick the wing/backs.

I'd have O'Shea over Furlong and while I think Gibbs is streets ahead of Townsend, Bilic is obviously not keen on his work rate at the moment in training so Townsend plays.

So my team would be:

Johnstone
O'Shea
Ajayi
Ivanovic
Townsend
Gallagher
Krov
Robinson
Grady
Pereira
Grant

I think our team is coming together nicely.
I think we’ll win 0-2.
Our curse of the opposition manager sacking will happen the day after the game.
What’s the odds on that lot happening?

If very tenuous itk statements are to be believed your scenario could play out exactly as stated, but the inverse.

I think we all need to be a little more confident about this one.  Away games with no crowds don't make it harder to get all three points in these difficult times.

Why can't we go to Craven Cottage and get all three points?

MP had an off game against Brighton, he scores at least twice if it's another game. Grady had an off night too so he can only get better. Grant can score goals, Krov and Gallagher look great on the ball in midfield - just have to see if Slav has the guts to bench Jake.

I know it won't be easy but no reason why we can't win 2-0 or 3-0 in this one.

Anything but a defeat keeps us out of the bottom three. Another 3 points for us wouldn't go amiss.
