For me this is a much better performance. We’ve been in this game all night. West Ham are winning not through any fault of ours. It’s a proper game of football in the Premier League in which we don’t look out of place. However, we need those 3 or 4 players that were promised to really compete. I just hope it’s not too late.

This is my thinking as well. You could mistake it for two mid table teams battling it out. But need points from fixtures like this

Sam Allardyce said what you can’t afford to do is follow up the win at Wolves with a defeat.

The players are trying their best but still concede two goals or more most games. They’re just not good enough - and I think most of us realise that.

It’s hard to see this team getting anywhere near the 25 points likely to be needed from 19 games, even with reinforcements. In fact, without reinforcements it’ll be a struggle to reach many more than 20.
We aren't going to stay up, but we may at least compete and that's as much as we can ask for.
Enjoy the Wolves win, that will be our highlight.

Not for me. Results never really looked in doubt. West Ham haven’t needed to leave 2nd gear.
Fine margins for me as opposed to the huge chasm that looked to be there against Villa, Arsenal and Leeds.

It's a tough chance but I don't think we will create better in stoppage time

Wow. Ibrahimovic would have been proud to score from there.
Great play, great effort.

The difference between Fabianski and our keeper is stark on crosses.

2nd game in a row we only use 2 subs. Is Sam sending a message?

A point lost due to Ajayi messing up big time for the first half and weak defending for the 2nd from him and Gibbs.

A better performance overall though and in terms of moving in the right direction i still think we are. Distinct lack of attacking options hurt us tonight.

Need a new LB, CB, DCM and CF for me. Same as start of season.

Can’t defend like we do and expect anything, almost every attack looks like the opposition will score.

Only Pereira looks comfortable on the ball and we’ve not got a striker. Other than that, we will be ok!
