Shame how it ended up with Odemwingie. He just wanted his big payday, in hindsight you can't overly knock him for that given his age and the stupid money QPR were throwing around and the club were certainly far from exempt from blame. It was just the way he went about it on that day that will always leave a sour taste and I'm sure he would change it all if he had his time again. Unless Mozza comes back from injury miraculously before the end of the season, Odemwingie will remain our top Premier League goalscorer for a long time to come.
It's bordering disgraceful how people have turned on him, the guy was absolutely the fulcrum at the time we were rising, shunted on to the wing to accommodate lesser strikers and was only doing what any of us would (and with the clubs permission) I'd still have him over HRK
If youre going to get told off, get told off for doing something not for doing nothing..

Just remembered Kim Do-heon apropos of nothing.  35 and playing in Malaysia, apparently.  I used to quite rate him, never thought he was good enough for the top flight, but I have a massive soft spot for tidy, diminutive midfielders who don't really do anything but play short simple passes  ;D

Happy birthday Graham Williams.

Agree 100% regarding the evening at Sutton supporters club.

That said, Graham Lovett and Mickey Fudge were good value too.

Cracking evening  8) .

James Hurst - cringe.

Gone missing now apparently and a warrant issued for his arrest.

Not the only Albion player to go missing this season I think......

Nice article on Shoot about Gera

https://www.shoot.co.uk/where-are-they-now-west-bromwich-albion-hero-zoltan-gera/

I'll always remember his bit of skill against Birmingham in the great escape season I think.  We were heading for relegation and played Brum at the Hawthorns.  A ball into the corner was overhit and heading out for a goal kick and you watch it thinking "he's got no chance of reaching it".

He somehow makes it, jumps two footed over the ball, and keeps it on the line with a back heel.  Absolutely outrageous.  He gets up and flicks it off the arriving defender for a corner and we go and score from the corner.  At the time the commentator said something like "you never know, it's moments like that that can kick start your fight back" and sure enough we stopped up.

Even though I'm biased it's one of my favourite bits of skill ever.

Micky Mellon's Tranmere have won their play-off and are back in the Football League. Well done, Micky. Probably not in the picture for us, though...

Looks like we'll be playing against Yan Dhanda next season - moving to Swansea from Liverpool. Very interesting to see how he's come on.

Leave us at 14 for Liverpool but couldn't get chances there.

Really can't see any benefit for their development when the youngsters join the big club at early stage.

Jerome Sinclair, Yan Dhanda, who will be the next :)

A cracking read about Jason Koumas. Nail on the head.

Still the best player I’ve seen don our stripes, at times unplayable.

Thank you Zoltan & good wishes for the future!
