Watched Dundee v Rangers last night (yes I was bored)..Dorrans didn't play due to an ankle injury but  Scott Allan came on for Dundee and set up their winner..changed the game and looked a decent player...anyone know why he didn't suit us ?

Young Mr Potter's naughty word Ostersunds are to face Arsenal in the last 32 of the Europa League.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

Scottish PL is league 1/2 level at best, that would be my guess..

Jonus Ollson to say his goodbye.

THERE will be a warm welcome back to the Big Swede at The Hawthorns on Sunday!

Yes, as if Albion’s tilt at Manchester United was not enough to fill The Hawthorns, there will be the chance at last to say ‘hello goodbye’ to Jonas Olsson.

Manchester United tickets latest
Our much-loved giant defender departed in March after nine years and more than 260 appearances in the blue and white stripes he came to love.

Prior to securing European qualification with new club Djurgarden, Olsson promised to one day return to offer his own thanks to the Baggies faithful.

And on Sunday, he will be at The Hawthorns as our very special Fans’ Champion and be introduced one more time to The Hawthorns faithful shortly before kick-off.

Before that, Jonas will also pop into the Fanzone and take part in a live Q&A on stage.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” said Jonas. “I never got the chance to say my farewell to the fans when I left and that was something I regretted. The timing just made it impossible.

“It will be great to see The Hawthorns again - this club is forever special to me and I just want to say thank you to everyone.

“And most of all I want to see my old mates win! I am hearing good things about the performance at Liverpool and I think they are more than capable."

Bob Taylor working as a mezzanine floor installer on a job in Sheffield.
Sad to see one of our all time greats out of the game like that.

I just hope it’s to keep him busy and not because he’s financially dependent on it.

From what I was told he needs to work.
I think he arrived before the big money did

It is sad to hear but at the same time not many players make the transition from top player to a job withing football unfortunately

Nice to hear though that he has other things he can do other than football and especially some kind of trade as not many footballers do so if they go out of the game they find it a struggle

As a moderating team we have discussed the best way to talk about ex-players and feel the best way is to have one topic where any ex-player can be discussed.

The point of the thread is to keep people updated on where some of our ex-players whether legend, boo-boy or even youngsters have ended up and what they are up to these days.

THIS THREAD IS NOT FOR TELLING PEOPLE THAT XX OR YY PLAYER HAS JUST SCORED A GOAL OR BEEN SENT-OFF ETC AS THERE ARE THREADS IN THE GENERAL SPORTS FORUM FOR THINGS LIKE THAT SO IF YOUR POST TELLING US THAT SIMON COX OR LUKE MOORE HAS JUST SCORED IS NOT IN THIS THREAD TRY THE OTHER FORUMS BEFORE MOANING AND PLAYING YOUR FACE TO US AS YOU MAY END UP LOOKING A BIT OF AN backside  ;)

There will be a seperate thread for players out on loan as there are still OUR players until we release them or sell them etc.

Another reminder needed

Common knowledge Odemwingie was told he could leave. Cleared locker said his goodbyes etc then we over played our hand a couple of hours before the end of the window demanding Hoilett (who didn't want to come) in a swap. Only thing Peter did wrong on the night was going on tv.

Shame how it ended up with Odemwingie. He just wanted his big payday, in hindsight you can't overly knock him for that given his age and the stupid money QPR were throwing around and the club were certainly far from exempt from blame. It was just the way he went about it on that day that will always leave a sour taste and I'm sure he would change it all if he had his time again. Unless Mozza comes back from injury miraculously before the end of the season, Odemwingie will remain our top Premier League goalscorer for a long time to come.
