He has re-signed.
He played for us as a YTS, then  moved to Kiddy Harriers.
His first team debut was against Northwich Victoria in September 1994.
He played at Wembley in 1995 in the F.A. Trophy final where they lost 2-1 to Woking after extra time.

Joss Labadie could be in trouble again. Alleged to have bitten the finger Ronnie Henry (Stevenage) while playing for Dagenham & Redbridge yesterday.

Giles Barnes made his international debut for Jamacia in the week.

He made appearances against Venuzula and Cuba, scoring in the 2-1 win over Venuzula.

Giles now plays in the MLS for Huston Dynamo

I rated Giles Barnes. Suprised it didn't work out for him here. Injuries must have played a part

I remember his performance against Leicester in the cup away one of the best virtuoso performances I've seen from an Albion player.

He was once a real contender, kind of Zaha-ish, but it was injuries did for him, I think.

Matej Vydra nets 15 times for Watford this season as they have clinched promotion with a game to spare. He'll be playing against us next season, good thing he isn't 'Premier League quality'. I know, 15 in the Championship is not 15 in the Prem, but the guy didn't really gat a fair shake with us in my opinion.

TBH i would have kept him if only s a back up striker/forward. Offered us much missing pace.

Another one who came with promise of extreme pace who was merely quick. Not good enough for the Premier League and nothing to worry about.

I always felt that Vydra would eventually become a Premier League player, but it wasn't worth us buying him.
He clearly had some talent, and had a nack for getting crucial goals; but anyone with a brain would also agree that he was never really good enough, especially as a starter. For instance, he was very weak physically, and generally looked inexperienced which was to be expected.

Even with his fairly poor season with us, if we'd have wanted to sign him, he'd have costed around £8 million pounds as Udinese were/are in no rush to sell him, so it was either stump up the cash instantly and try and develop him, or let him go back to Watford and further develop him.
For us, it was a no-brainer. We weren't in the position to invest/gamble a large amount of money on a fairly unproven kid - but as I say I think he will be decent next season, albeit this is with another season of experience under his belt.

Jared Hodgkiss is doing well at Kiddy Harriers (despite the club as a whole having a tough old time of it at the moment) and highly rated by their supporters apparently.

(Sorry if this has been mentioned previously - couldn't see anything when I had a look at recent pages).
