It's been an interesting season so far. Shall be interesting to see if there's a side which can put together an 11 game unbeaten run which takes them into the play offs or on the verge of the automatics. Reading put together a phenomenal run last year which took them to the title. I personally would have a bet on Leeds doing something similar. Hull and Cardiff have had impressive starts, very surprised with Hull as I had a feeling they'd be floating around in mid-table but it appears Steve Bruce is doing a good job there so far, Robert Koren and Sone Aluko appearing very influential for them.
As for the bottom, there's a number of poor sides down there. Peterborough leak way to many goals although are capable of scoring plenty down the other end but you're always in for a struggle if you cannot defend. Also explains why Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City and Barnsley are down there as the trio of them have been awful defensively. Dave Jones I'm surprised is still in a job after going something like 14 games without a win, with something silly like 12 defeats, following that with a victory, before another set of 7 defeats until they beat Barnsley last week and followed that up by beating Charlton on saturday. I read on another forum the other day that Bristol City have reported record losses and that Derek McInnes has had his hands tied in the transfer market. They reported losses of £14.4million and have a wage budget of £18.6million which for me, is incredibly bizzare for what is relatively a smaller club in that division which has a turnover of £11million.
