We should be challenging, squad depth at the moment looks okay and looks like for every player leaving a new player will replace.

Gk - Johnstone, bond and probably Moore
Rb - Nyom and Wilson
Cb - Dawson Bartley Hegazi Fitzwater
Lb - Gibbs Melbourne

Wingers - Phillips, Burke Leko and mccleans replacement & Edwards
Cm - Livermore Field Barry Brunt
CAM - chadli + probably Morrison

St- rondon jrod and hrk

Chadli, rondon and mcclean out. Obviously all 3 will be replaced. Can see Cranie getting a deal as cover for the back 4. Brunt can cover lb. Would like rondon our and 2 strikers in to give us options from the bench. That squad should get play offs minimum

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. This is basically a replica of my post on the previous page.

Got my new kit yesterday. So excited for the season to start.

on paper we dont look to bad but midfield an attacking options is pretty poor, really cant see where the goals will come from in midfield as hardly any creativity or pace.. alot of games will be like watching megson team and hoping for a 1-0 win but alot of championship teams are set up to score goals i think we will be found wanting, cant see anything else apart from mid table then questions will need to be asked about certain roles

Need to get goals and creativity in the team. We’ve been pulised for a while and would like to see some spark aka koumas, kamara , skp from the last championship campaign.
Without this I’d say play offs at best.
Whenever we are playing badly, just remember -
Paul Chrichton,Neil Parsley, Andy Mcdermott, Scott Darton, Winston White,Mark Angel, Fabian DeFreitas, Paul Williams......now, do you feel better?

Koumas and Kamara weren't involved in our last Championship campaign. Or indeed the one before that.

The last time I saw a player bust a gut in a friendly was Lee Hughes against Chelsea. ☺️

We have sold the player who busted his gut last season, we have kept the gutless and Big Dave needs to sort the midfield in 2 weeks.
Lots of players who say what everyone wants to hear but our manager needs to see through it and push the recruitment to the next level now.

I’m sorry I bow to your superior knowledge 🙄

It was the relevance of creativity of koumas and kamara more so than when

McClean? 5 goals in 100 games and next to no assists. That's some going for a player who busted his gut. If running around like a headless chicken was the main ingredient for success all we'd have to do is pick a few season ticket holders to play football for us. What was that game when he decided to jump out of the way when he was put in the end of the wall and the goal went straight in? Numerous calamity impacts he made for us from the bench last season resulting in goals going against us. Delighted he has left.

Never have a better chance of promotion than our first season down where we have all the parachute money advantages over all the others bar Stoke and Swansea.

Its not a bite mate  :D

Its a fact he is not as effective in the middle, never has been, we need better creativity.  8)
:D

Sometimes the answer is there, Philips plays a 10 for Scotland, Burke could be sensational in AM , have 1 of them 2 forward of brunt Livermore field , with vydra and Rodriguez.....sorted

I don't think we will, and I don't think we should even be trying to.

We have that much work to do to get our house in order, it may be having a couple of years down and then going back up would be better to build for another sustainable stretch in the top flight. Obviously if we can get in the play-offs then we should go for it, but when you take into account how tough a division it is and our obvious problems, a rebuilding year wouldn't be too bad.

I don't think we'll go down again, but should be upper mid-table.

we will go up as champions, its not a very good league, competitive yes, but not good, we will have too much quality for it.  8) 8)

Can I say I'm not too bothered either way if we get promoted or not but am looking forward to winning a few games and not hanging on for grim death to try and finish between 14th and 17th place 1 point a a time ???

Love the optimism :) I agree with FallOutBoy rebuild this year push next what worries me is Dawson, as He doesn't want be at the club. He has to go and we need something fresh upfront if Rondon goes

Currently - absolutely no chance. Add a Vydra or Gayle to score the goals and we should be up there.

The cheap, shitty attitude towards signings has gone on for far too long. Particularly strikers. This game isn't rocket science: you score more than your apponents, gain three points and move up the table.

Having the best squads mean's nowt if you don't have the staff to organise that squad and utilise it effectively.

Apparently we had our best Premier League squad ever last season, that didn't go to well did it ?

Its an opinion based on my own thoughts. Most of the squad from last season our overrated petulant people who dont give a jot about the football club. As much as i love Big Dave i'm not convinced he will do well, even less so with very little support from the board.
