Meanwhile: According to rumour on the OwlsTalk forum Sheffield Wednesday are being linked to a takeover by an American consortium.

We don't want them getting all optimistic ahead of a game when they're desperately in need of points. Not when we are as well. Bugger  .

oh I know what he did...appalling decision that cost us a play off final place (although it was one of many awful decisions he made that day).

My only surprise is that he had absolutely nothing to do with the following quote from Chris Wilder.........

"Seven cameras haven't picked it up - the most technical league in the world - everything we see at every angle and it hasn't seen a goal.

"We went to Tottenham last year, John Lundstram's big toe was offside and I was hanging around in the pouring rain for 10 minutes waiting for a decision. I don't understand why I can't wait 10 minutes in Birmingham.

"The statement has come out and it is unprecedented, unbelievable."

...... for the record the ref that day was Michael Oliver, the fourth official was Chris Kavanagh and on VAR they had Paul Tierney with Constantine Hatzidakis as his Unable Assistant. 'The List' would remember them if it existed even if it had difficulty spelling the last one's name  .

That's as well as may be but we all know who he is and we all know what he did. 'The List' if it exists would have him with the letters DVB after his name like some kind of a degree qualification. There are degrees and there are degrees.

They’ve sold out 3 parts of the ground and discussing with the safety council the possibility of maybe having tickets in the stand below our fans.

Don't think there'd be much in the way of safety if they agree to that, talk about inviting incident. Rarely a good idea.

My decision to watch Married at First Sight Aus looked increasingly poorer every time I checked the score but after a weekend of lots of football on the “big tele” I had to give the other half a TV win to stay in the good books.

That’s Boro out the play-off race so it’s looking like a winner in the Hull Coventry match would then be the only side that can catch us with us just needing one more win if it’s Cov that come out on top.

Distinct lack of moral fortitude in the face of passive aggressive feminism ya big metrosexual softie. I sincerely hope you didn't run the vacuum round first before handing over the remote. Pah.

Exits in huff to search out woolly underpants before stomping around the house in stoic masculinity while listening to Queen's Greatest Hits and shouting 'the remote control is MINE!'

In all seriousness you missed a cracking game. The commentator reckoned Bamford may have obscured the view of the ref's assistant for the offside and I think the ref erred on the side of caution for Bamford's iffy challenge as he wasn't too bad overall.

Very entertaining game last night between Middlesbrough and Leeds. Finished 3-4 with some cracking moments. Thought Gnonto's breakaway goal which stood was offside even before the replay which confirmed it.

Also thought that Bamford was a very lucky lad to only get a yellow for a slack challenge on Azaz which could easily have attracted a straight red. Azaz looked good for Boro last night as did Latte Lath.

You can trust me when I say the only way I'd be doing the London Marathon with a JCB is if I was sat behind the steering wheel. And you really wouldn't want to be there to see that. Carnage  .

Nice one, I don't think they'd take it too personally as I imagine they'll be used to it by now. Had to Google Darren Hayes but ta very much for the sentiment. Many thanks for the rough timing of the snooze fest. I can fast forward straight to it before settling down for sleepybyes soon after. Podcasts really bore the brown gunk out of me. Too much umming and aahing which leads me to distraction. Thanks in advance  .

Interesting listening to the Liquidator podcast and Goldberg agreeing with me that we look far more threatening without BTA up top. The movement of Wallace is just far better/more intelligent and creates so much more space for others

Not something I thought I'd see written here given my last listen to it. Struggled with my sleep last night so I might give it a go again later. Cheers for the reminder.

Any chance of a heads up for the minute I need to fast forward to where he agrees with you please? Wouldn't want to miss that bit before dozing off, sounds very interesting  .

Yes, he was outstanding against Leicester on Saturday. They had no answer to him at all.

Choudury's plan to give him lots of space and stand on the goal line was quite effective nonetheless.

Sheff Wed beat Blackburn with some truly awful goalkeeping from Pears.
Blues back in bottom 3.

The John Smith's Stadium won't be a place for the faint hearted on Saturday that's for sure.

London Marathon - every year it inspires me and I do a number of races ranging from 10k-Half Marathons regulars but this year I’ve taken the plunge and entered the ballot for 2025!

Watched a bit of it on the box earlier. Mildly disappointed not to have seen anyone running the course with a full life sized JCB digger on their back. Charity Marathon runners clearly aren't what they were.

Further proof if it were needed that we're becoming a nation of softies. Over to you lad. One full life sized JCB digger on your back and I'm prepared to sponsor you to the tune of one full English Pound.

Can't say fairer than that. I'm sure the rest of the .com community would join me and stand with you in spirit to the tune of a Pound a pop. Come on Lewisant the gauntlet has been laid, show us what you're made of  .

Diabolical officiating aside we really should have beaten Leicester out of sight. Played 90+ minutes with one hand tied behind our backs because of the ineptitude of the one eye with a whistle and his assistants who aided and abetted Leicester in daylight robbery.

The fact we still should have won speaks volumes for the performance itself. At the same time it's also a concern as the lads looked like they'd have struggled to finish off a chicken tikka between them.

Me and my lad had no trouble polishing off our post match mixed grill at the Island Inn when we got back so on that basis alone we're upfront at Sheffield Wednesday. If we can move by then.

Onwards and COYB  .

New stadium for me, looking forward to it.

I havent seen us win away since Jan 2020 and I go a handful a season, i just tend to choose the bad ones.

Hopefully my streak ends Saturday if if Hull draw midweek i'd take a point!

For the Pereira lovers he's done an interview where he said he became depressed after moving to Al-Hilal and wanted to kill himself and promised himself he wouldn't fulfill his contract there until Cruzeiro came in and saved him basically

About to display amazing ignorance here. I don't think I'd ever heard of Cruzeiro until I did a Google search to find out who Al-Hilal's new manager was that had come in and made him want to live life again. Not joking  .

Watched the Southampton v Preston game on TV earlier. Despite winning three nil at home in a commanding performance the atmosphere didn't seem particularly electric (to me at least).

There are games at stadiums including our own when there's a tremendous atmosphere. There are any number of games in any number of stadiums where it's not beyond (and in some cases) including goal celebrations.
