I asked if that could have been the case in a earlier post, how sure are you 100% dinkydave.

anyone who's been on a stadium tour could tell you the same thing! :D

dont know the whys and wherefores but apparently the foundations were laid to cope with a two tier stand when it was orignally erected. at least this is what i was told!!

Maybe the Club have approved it internally , but it still needs planning permission, which is public process. That said, I'm not sure if there would be any serious objectors.
There would not be many residents or businesses affected.

It was approved by the council last week!

Building behind the existing stand is the only feasible way of doing it.  Its near impossible to simply build another tier onto whats already there.  There would have to be major work done to foundations that will have previously been designed to accommodate single tier loading.  The existing columns will not design for the extra load also.

I dont know but I suspect the road will be moved/shunted across, leaving the listed building intact which will be incorporated as either part of the stand or something else club related.  The existing roof taken off and a new structure built at the back of the existing stand with a new tier and roof built off new foundations and columns.

Kris, foundations for a second tier are already there. They were laid down when the current stand was erected.  In simple terms its just a case of banging another tier on top!! :D

It's all purely speculation at the moment though, let's hope we get an official announcement soon!

i cannot emphasise enough its not speculation, it has been approved for completion in or by 2014!!

Woh! Calm down dear! ;)

No one is having a go mate just questioning the authenticity.

I can see it from your side, but also there have been plenty of people on here who are not in the know on the wind up so it does work both ways.

Anyway, from your info, is it a completely new stand or adding of a tier on top of the existing stand?

im calm :D
sorry, i dont know specific details as yet, as i said all i know is that west brom have been granted planning permission to build a 2 tier stand.  Whether thats a new build or reconstruction of what we currently have i have no idea atm. maybe early next week ill know a bit more ;)
this was only agreed yesterday so details will come out in dribs and drabs from my source. obviously they cant go banding about full details. trying to get what everyones asking for start date, completion date, capactity etc. its just not possible because doesnt work like that.

Gera was rumored to go back to Ferencvaros  but he categorically denied it stating that his only interest is WBA.
His loyalty is second to none in his entire career.

His loyalty was questionable when he left us for fulham after we nursed him through 2 major injuries!

Dont get me wrong i love Zoltan but that left a stale taste in my mouth!!

Unfortunately it's all about money.

Champions league should be for the Champions only on a non-seeded knock out basis.
Cup winners cup should be for the cup winners only on a non-seeded knock out basis.
Europa league should be for the league cup winners and x number of top league teams only on a non-seeded knock out basis.

And how come the third placed team in the Champions league get another chance in the Europa league.Money rules ...

beggars belief, then they moan they play too many games!!

Champions League isnt the Champions league, its a joke a team that finishes 3rd or 4th in its domestic league can qualify!! Surely thats false advertising  :D
Champions League should be top 2 at most!!

Bring back the cup winners cup!!  2 teams go into that

And have the europa league for another 4 teams and i really think one of those places should be based on fair play!!

wow did many of you actually go to the match?? olsson 6 ????  was our best player bar possibly scharner.
won everything in the air and goal saving challenge on the line, cleared everything. possibly one of the best games ive seen him have for us, looks like we've found the CB pairing we needed.

scharner was immense today, marked o'hara completely out of game.

defence wise, back four was great, olsson never missed a header and jones put some cracking tackles in.
not sure how maculey got mom over olsson but he did play well.

i really cant understand what tchoi offers us that cox doesnt?? 3 times gets himself in good position only to wait and wait and get tackled.

anyways a great allround performance by the team and i thinkother than tchoi, Roy got tactics spot on!!

ATID!!

i cant believe people are moaning about people been negative, someone tell me the positives so this season?? weve lost 5 out of 7 matches have a squad of similar abilty to last year!!
im not slating peace, players or manager but i live in the real world, i think we overacheived last season and realistically premier league consolidation is our priority.
ive been going to the hawthorns for 24 years and i really struggle to make the effort these days, not a nice feeling at all :(

Proof?

Ive backed Peace 100% in the past and against better judgement will probably continue to do so, but over the summer we had a chance to sign scott dann, scott dann wanted to come and wages shouldnt have been a problem, ridgewell was always a back up should the dann deal go t!ts up, for once peace was trying to be too frugal over the valuation and birmingham wouldnt play ball. ibanez deal was agreed and then we took too long to sort the dann deal out thus loosing out on dann and then ridgewell.
In June one of my best friends joined birmingham in a very high capacity.  the people on here who know me personally can verify this.
Im not slating Peace for the work he's done per se because he's run the club well but over the dann deal he and only he is to blame, he woulnt sanction the asking price.
