looks like we have sold so far around 2,000 for this.

would be good if we can sell in excess of 3,000.

I'd expect us to sell the full allocation. Which would be great for us as we'll get an extra three points for selling out.

Is this game on Sky red button?

Most were on last season but clubs can object and say no .

Every game was on the red button last season , on Boxing Day and there was some on New Year’s Day .  All of them weren’t on New Year’s Day though

Last few games our expansive interplay has got a bit bogged down in the soggy pitches from the look of it, if I were Barnsley's groundsman I wouldn't bother too much about cutting the grass and working on the drainage.  Dion Dublin on R5 lunchtime was talking about how Cambridge used to let the grass grow long in the corners and instruct their full backs to hoof it there where it would hold up for their wingers.

0-1 at HT, 2-1 at FT, not at our fluent best again but think our quality will prevail.

I'd be tempted to leave out Phillips. To be fair to him he's scored seven goals this season but on the whole he's been bang average. I can't remember the last time he put in a decent performance away from home. (Oh for Jarrod Bowen!). I can see the logic for resting Sawyers as well, particularly now we have Barry available, Romaine is not really in form at the moment. I'm not sure if Gibbs will be fit, if he is I'd rest Nathan as well. It's a bit risky playing two attack minded full backs but Barnsley play a diamond in midfield so shouldn't be that much of a threat from wide whereas we could have joy going forward down the flanks.:

                                Johnstone

Furlong         Ajayi                    Bartley (O'Shea)   Gibbs

                  Livermore               Barry

Robson-Kanu           Pereira                          Edwards

                                   Austin

Subs: Bond, Ferguson, Sawyers, Krovinovic, Phillips, Zohore, plus one of  O'Shea / Bartley / Brunt / Townsend.

Hegazi left out again if he's not behaving himself.

We've been quite lucky with injuries, I'd rather see a bit more rotation before it happens to tired players than because we have to

I'd have to agree with you, looks like neither Barnsley or the Boro game are available on the red button.

I don't like some of the changes being suggested, i don't want to see inverted wingers or HRK and Edwards. Grady was aiming to return here so hopefully he's back.

I'd like a team of (if all available) Johnstone, Furlong, Ajayi, Hegazi/Bartley, Gibbs, Barry, Sawyers, Phillips, Pereira, Diangana, Austin. Subs; Bond, Ferguson, Bartley/O'Shea, Livermore, Edwards, Krovinovic, HRK.

Slight rotation with Gibbs and Grady back from injury, rest Livermore with the idea or resting Sawyers next game, Hegazi in if Bartley is injured and if everything is ok with him and Austin back. 5 changes is a lot but 2 are first team choices returning from injury (Gibbs and Grady), 1 is a potential injury (Bartley) and just the 2 are rotation (Livermore and HRK) who would then both start v Boro. Revert back to first team for the Leeds game.

Looks like it’s been taken off the red button service , it did say “ on sky” I even set the record button on my sky box for it cause it was listed

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/11095/11889821/championship-fixtures-live-watch-festive-matches-on-sky-sports

It was listed on there 3 days ago now it isn’t , must have been taken off

Just checked and it’s still listed on the sky TV guide so who knows  ::)

Barnsley will have their tails up after their last 2 results, and our drop in form at the moment.
Slav must get our lads going and alert from the off.

I think Barry is good to come on after 60-65 mins when the opposition can no longer press so energetically.  To have him and Phillips on the field at the same time means that our midfield might be overrun.  So perhaps Phillips for 60 mins then rejig to replace him with Barry.
Sawyers cannot be the only playmaker in midfield against teams that employ pressing game because he will be man-marked; we must have a plan B.  Krovinovic can turn and retain the ball in tight situations;  I think he would be good in a four+ man midfield.

In January I would look for young ball winner

Since we have a plethora of CB options and few real box to box midfielders, we should maybe try the following:-

Johnson

Ajayi
Hegazi
O'Shea

Furlong
Phillips / Krovinovic
Livermore
Sawyers
Gibbs / Ferguson

Pereira

HRK /Austin
Hales Owen born.
