It was a small cup and I only used one tea bag. There wasn't enough room in the cup for a discussion about tactics ffs .Tell you what, I'll use a mug and two bags next time just for you...... ya miserable git  ;D  ;) .
If you did a Val, you would have plenty of mugs to choose from!  :)

In a 3-4-3 system it's quite possible to have one wing back on the overlap on the wing you're attacking down and the other three as CMs.  You just need the outer two of the central four to have some pace.  When you want to switch to the other wing, the forward on that side should be available.  The right players are needed but I think a central four of TGH, Molumby, Mowatt and Townsend might suffice.

Should we have a back 3 as Livermore - Bartley - Clarke or bring in Ajayi?

I would take a draw at QPR.  Chis Willock looks a real handful.  If he or Ilias Chair is given a free run at our back line, it would be  ominous.  Luckily Chair is away at AFCON.
Let's hope that Newcastle's purported interest in Lyndon Dykes messes his head up.

Ajayi at AFCON, so will be Townsend replacing Kipre I reckon. If Bartley not fit then Livermore will drop in there.
Mowatt suspended so, midfield 4 would then be either

Furlong TGH Livermore Reach
or
Furlong TGH Mulumby Reach

I'd imagine it will be this;

Button

Furlong
Bartley
Clarke

Gardner-Hickman
Livermore
Molumby
Townsend

Robinson
Phillips
Grant

If Bartley is injured then Reach will come in, Townsend in to back 3 and Clarke in the middle.

If we wasn't ok for 10/20 mins against Brighton I can't see him starting a game. Should be on the bench though.

Read somewhere that VI said Dike will be getting some gametime but will take 4 weeks to get fully fit so i imagine he will come on at the 60-62 minute mark.

Kick ball hard, run after ball, over hit cross everytime, score no goals, QPR dodgy goal at 85 minutes. Val to make mind boggling sub at 60 minutes...sounds about right?  ;D

Guys football is a fluid, dynamic and 'can change in an instant' game. I don't like the suggestions that we know what's coming week in and week out.   :P

Bartley might make it but not definite. Dike involved but not fit enough to start. From today's presser apparently

Without Bartley my team would be:

Button

Livermore  Clarke  Townsend

Furlong   Molumby  Gardner-Hickman   Reach

 Phillips  Robinson  Grant

Deekay after 60mins.  BTW I thought that Johnstone would have saved Brighton's first

We'll have done well to get a point.

Seems we have a shortage of centre halves snd we won’t be changing our system so should see an academy lad on the bench.

We could consider Livermore in the back three in the absence of Ajayi, Kipre, O’Shea but I’m not infavour of Bartley in that channel out wide.

I guess Clarke may move to the right hand side with Townsend featuring on the left. Reach then at LWB.

If Bartley is injured then we probably see Livermore drop to centre half unless they’re prepared to use Caleb Taylor

Townsend did ok in the back three earlier in the season. I can’t remember who he partnered specifically but I think it was when Clarke was out so I imagine it was Bartley

If Bartley is fit, that gives me a decent amount of confidence that three can be ok as long as we don’t need to take any of them off. If Bartley is unfit I think I’d go with Livermore and let TGH and Molumby play centre mid with Furlong and Reach wide.

Think we will be under more pressure defensively than we have been for a while today.
