Agreed, it seems difficult for some to accept he is a very decent striker at this level, a bargain for what we paid for him and also not a world beater either. I have no complaints with BTA, his goal output is decent and consistent, and his work rate is top notch.
Whilst not in the same league as Superbob he cost us the same transfer fee of £300k 32 years ago. 100% Asante is a bargain.inflation ay 😂

Best team in the league for me from the games i've seen.
They've got two huge games that will decide it, Leicester away and Leeds away last game of the season. If they pipped either of those two to an automatic slot can you imagine how deflated Leicester or Leeds could be going into the play offs.

I very much doubt Andi Weimann is scoring 11 league goals for us in a season if played as much as BTA
His record is proof of this, he's only once got more than 10 goals in a season during his career.

Another poor performance with a style of play that gets more boring by the match, we wasted 20 minutes of the 1st half watching Bartley with his foot on the ball at the half way line. Brainless red card for Asante, we have so many players out of form I struggle to see how we'll compete in the play offs.

He's 25, top scorer in his first year here and likely to repeat it this year, goal of the season last season against Stoke, he's played in over 80% of our games playing a role he wasn't intended to do due to injuries to other forwards.
For £300k.
We've had to shop at Poundland because of our finances and this chaps been a bargain.

Can't think of a single ground in the country where more fans leave before full time than ours, regardless of win/draw/lose

Job done as was expected, very poor penalty award, just read on the BBC that we've been in 5th position now for 131 consecutive days since 2nd Dec 2023.

Performances are a concern but I'm confident we'll make the play offs, Coventry have an horrible remaining fixture list. Next two home games could cement it.

I think it's noticeable that against Millwall and Watford they've doubled up on him, after those wonder strikes it's not surprising really.

We deserve nothing from this game we've been schooled. Swift and Yakuslu are running in treacle, wide men are creating nothing. Our performances of late are a concern.

Lucky it's only 1-0 with that simple 1v1 they fluffed.

Another no show from Wallace against Millwall so far. Then again not one forward player has done anything of note. I'd make changes now with Fellows for Diangana .

Stroll in the park performance. Both fullbacks had a good game and love the ball control by Johnston who just coast's away from tight positions with ease.

What a brilliant day so far, Now for Albion to get 3 points, them going on about the Bragging rights means absolutely nothing, we have beaten Coventry this season, they didn't batter us or relegate us. The last time Wolves beat us they won the cup all that rubbish, Forever in our Shadow. Bye Bye Dingles. Oh and I hope Italy beat Wales so I can brag to my Welsh mate about the Wooden spoon
Italy have beaten Wales so it's fair to say you've had a good day 😄

I agree. Statham was outstanding though, probably one of the top 2 in the country at the time, so that's a very high bar to set. Arguably Gibbs at his best was also better than Conor, but he was also an international standard. Other than that, I can't off the top of my head think of any better left backs that we've had.
David Burrows was better than Townsend.

BTA is no world beater but he's better than any other player we've got playing the Centre Forward role.

Constant hooking of this guy doesn't help either.
Yet to fathom the reason why this is happening so often. If any front player needed replacing it was definately Wallace.

Besides the garbage performance, just how did Wallace stay on the pitch? 2 great goals got us a underserved point but jeez that was dire.

I just don't think he's suited to the role he's being asked to play all his inconsistency aside
At the moment he's 4th choice to play on the wing. And that's his natural position. If we hadn't lost all our forwards to injury woulde he even make the subs bench?

Agree, especially with Yokusulu. I think he had one eye on QPR tonight. Mind you, it makes you wonder why he doesn't use Pipa more who is a good player.
You'd think Pipa would be the ideal replace for Townsend not Reach.

He’s substitutions are getting abit valerian estique, seems to bring same players on same time regardless of how the game is going ,thought he nearly cost us tonight as we looked in cruise control before he made the subs
The way I see it is they're not tactical changes just fresh legs and energy. Would like to have seen at least one of Fellows or Johnston play The 90 minutes.

Unconvincing , the win flattered . Too many subs at the same time totally unsettled us but a win is a win. Mowatt easily our best on the night
4 changes in as many minutes did unsettle the team, relief that we held on after such a dominant first half. Still it's a big result and puts us in a great position.

I don't think for one minute he's improved every member of the squad, whilst I'm not one of the anti Townsend mob we've certainly seem him have better seasons. Diangana is just Diangana who in majority of games offers very little and let's be honest it'd be nigh on impossible not to improve on his last two seasons. Having said that he has improved Kipre and Furlong along with Fellows immensely.

Makes me smile when folk think that because the keeper got a touch on the shot he should prevent a goal. The biggest error was not closing down the scorer who had far too much space and time.

Are we talking about what used to be Vibroplant? If so the choice to sell the land wouldn't be made from there, it's a nation wide company with depots everywhere.
