I disagree - you could argue there's no point discussing anything because we can't actually affect what decisions the manager makes. It's interesting and relevant to consider the relative strengths and weaknesses of Mowbray and the manager he so recently succeeded and who managed the same group of players for two years, Corberan. So far, the change in our results suggest Mowbray has lost the defensive structure Corberan gave us without adding to our attacking threat.

Thats fair enough and some good points.

Problem is the petty comments which are being used to point score between the Corberan camps.

2
But, obviously CC was the problem as some wanted him out so we could unleash our attacking prowess.

Regardless of who or how many wanted CC out he's now gone, he left.

Mowbray is here now so no point going back over old ground, same as when Bruce left, same as when any other manager leaves.

Josh Shaw has joined Marine on a one month loan

https://www.wba.co.uk/news/josh-shaw-joins-marine-afc-short-term-loan

Young Baggies defender Josh Shaw has joined Vanarama National League North side Marine AFC on a one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old left-back has made one senior Albion appearance, featuring in the club's 4-1 win over Aldershot Town in the Emirates FA Cup in January 2024.

Marine sit bottom of the division, but are just three points adrift of safety.

Everyone at West Bromwich Albion wishes Josh all the very best for his time with the Mariners.

I was left very confused reading this post....... until I read the date  ;D .

I could have took the easy option so many choose by just starting a new topic but I used the searchy thing at the top which brought up a topic on the player concerned.  :D

Have to disagree there. Whether or not his celebration and post full time whistle behaviour was acceptable/laudable is a matter of opinion and perfectly reasonable debate. Taking his shirt off though is an automatic booking (for right or wrong is irrelevant), which, given his propensity for getting booked, could easily result in a suspension down the line, which clearly impacts on the team. For this reason alone he definitely "did something wrong".

The emotion of a stoppage time winner, imagine whats its like as a fan and I guess more than double it as a player.

https://www.wba.co.uk/news/hawthorns-host-fa-youth-cup-quarter-final-clash-manchester-city

Albion Under-18s will play Manchester City at The Hawthorns in their FA Youth Cup quarter-final tie on Thursday, February 27 (ko 7pm).

Leigh Downing's young group set up their last-eight clash after defeating Norwich City 4-2 in East Anglia.

So far, including their last victory over the Canaries, the Baggies' 18s have won three matches in the competition - starting off their run with a 6-4 AET triumph over Harrogate Town prior to beating Stoke City 2-0 at the bet365 Stadium.

But their next battle in B71 will present their toughest task yet, with City's starlets beating Leeds United 6-1 in the previous round to set up their date at The Hawthorns.

As a consequence of this particular match being confirmed, Albion's PL2 fixture against Sunderland will now be rearranged. That game was scheduled to be played on Monday, March 3. New details will be confirmed at the earliest possible opportunity.

Anyone going to the PL2 game tonight? Be interested to see if Dike and Ajayi get some minutes.

Mowbray gave an interview a few days ago where he said he was hoping to give minutes to Dike, Ajayi, Frabotta and Cole but would need to speak to the medical teams to see about the first 2 as only 3 overage players are allowed and he needed to see them in games.

We all dish it out to players so can have no complaint when a player gives it back, swings and roundabouts.

Molumby did nothing wrong, Bartley was an idiot.

Looking at that squad on paper, compared to the bottom half of the league he should keep them up with ease and I think he will.

They will need to strengthen in the Summer, 6 players on loan and the keeper is officially a Liverpool keeper who joins up with them at the end of the season after staying on loan at Valencia this season.

In the league its W1 D1 L2 (albeit Barca and Real) and in the cup its W2 (both lower league teams with 2nd string lineups)

5 points away from safety with the next 7 games -

Celta (H)
Leganes (H)
Villarreal (A)
At Madrid (H)
Osasuna (A)
Real Valladolid (A)
Girona (A)

The 3 homes games Celta could go either way, you would expect them to beat Leganes but they did win at Barca and the At Madrid is a tough one.
The aways Villarreal is a derby so anything could happen, the other 3 are winnable, Girona not the side they were last season.

They also have Barca away in the Copa Del Rey after the Celta game.

It will be tough to keep them up but I think he'll do it

Nothing changed from when I posted this, Celta as I said could have gone either way, expected them to beat Leganes, next 5 contain a couple of tough games but 3 winnable

Villarreal (A)
At Madrid (H)
Osasuna (A)
Real Valladolid (A)
Girona (A)

Fully expect him to keep them up but will be surprised if he is still there at Christmas, there are some poor teams down the bottom so anyone with any sort of organisational skills is halfway there.

Not sure how Molumby can be excused. He's not a child. But agree that Bartley ought to know better despite his actions being nothing significant in my view.

Other than celebrate in peoples faces, what did he actually do wrong?

He's not a child but he is human and had just scored the winner at a crucial time.

Molumby was full of adrenalin as he had just scored a very late winner so his actions I understand. Bartley however is an experienced player and also supposed to be a leader so his actions are unforgiveable, no excuse for him, he also pushed or at least put his hand on the ref so his red was fully deserved.
