It was Saido who basically was doing a midfield job.
His pass to McClean for him to cross for our goal, was really skillful, because he drew players away from our striker.
Perhaps this may be another string to his bow.

Anybody else think its more than a coincidence the re emergence of Sess has happened almost as soon as the ex Palace coach who was credited with encouraging the likes of Bolaise, Puncheon etc to become major players rejoined TP ?

Interesting question but personally I doubt he's had that much influence so quickly.

Saido's control from Brunt's crisp pass was very good also. He's certainly more than just a goal scorer. It's probably down to the way we play but I'd like to see Saido teeing off from the edge of the box more often. He has that ability with either foot but we haven't seen much of it lately.

A much better performance combined with an intent to go out and win the football match.

That is all I ask for.

The back four were very good and Myhil, despite not having any major work to do had a very composed game. McClean was very good and Sessegnon also impressed again.

All in all, good performance and a bloody good result too.

All this from watching MOTD.
Glad Rondon got another goal, hopefully he can start scoring on a more regular basis. Oddly though I thought his chance in the first half was easier. Dawson got his angles wrong otherwise we may have won by more. Brunt brought out a couple of saves from Ruddy which on another day would have gone in.

Looked like we had more intent a bit more like the Villa game than Watford or Palace...or Stoke!
