I phoned the Ticket line this morning and got straight through. That should say something.

I’ve got my head around the ownership structure, but now I am more worried as I just can’t see a way out or forward anymore.

Only one way. Lai out and a serious investor in.

I'm sorry but that is ludicrous. I've seen quite a few people voicing that they wouldn't mind being below the Championship if it meant Lai left ASAP. But here's a question - if we are in "League 2 or worse" or even League 1, do we attract an ownership willing and capable of getting this club back into the Premier League? The answer is no.

We have spent a good few years recently playing catch up with not only the likes of Wolves or Villa (and God knows that sickens me) but even the likes of Brighton, Palace and more recently Brentford. I'm not prepared to see our club fall behind even more, quite frankly.

The like of Wrexham and Luton might disagree

Anything as long as it's not black away.
So boring

Personally I thought the T Mobile black shirt was one of the best shirts we've ever had.

Many see his weaknesses- or that he was dealt a poor hand.

But corberans positives by a million miles outweigh any negatives

He’s the only person at this club with any football acumen for a start

given what he's up against not really a glowing endorsement is it?

He has two choices. Scrimp and scrape with a basket case of a club or head for a club with proper structure and cash in the bank.
What would you opt for?

A rat sold us for as much money as he could stuff in his pocket. That is a real rat…..

I'd call that good business. That's what JP was a businessman, despite all his ramblings about being a fan.

The club have known since early March that the CEO was leaving. You would have thought that a replacement was lined up wouldn't you?
Shamble of a club from top to bottom.
Renewing my season ticket? Not a prayer om me handing money over to this mob

Gourlay is the Head of the board isn't he? He is the one they speak of from what I can see.

Judging by the statement below (taken from the last Assembly meeting) he has about as much influence with the Chinese ownership as I do

RG reiterated his desire to maintain open communication with the fanbase, saying he was encouraged to see a large, diverse group attending the Assembly and that he would continue to engage with all groups – including Action for Albion and Shareholders for Albion, both of whom he meets regularly. He added that he understands the frustration and protests of supporters, and wants to try and bring people together during a difficult time by being in contact with supporter groups, offering information, clarification and attempting to work out issues.

Your last sentence is EXACTLY what Lai said when he took over, he is keeping good to his word on that at least

No he didn't.
What he said was, 'this time next year Rodney, we'll be millionaires'

It achieved getting the issue into local and national media as well as a mention in Parliament.

Which has achieved what exactly?

Amen
When we win the league this year there will be some that wished they had.
Done mine

I think you will find we won't win the league this year, and your making an assumption that we will get promoted without knowing what's available to the manager at the start of the season.
Blind optimism at it's best.

I will renew but only at the very last moment, can't bear to give up me great seat in the Smethwick , and hope it sends some sort of message to the powers that be. Or more correctly the powers that don't!

Won't make a blind bit of difference.
If you had a season ticket for 50 years it wouldn't pay Grants wages for a week.

I think for me, sadly I think my money will stay in my pocket. If it’s the only way to get these people out of our club then after 30 years of season tickets, I won’t put anymore money in until there go. I think it’s something now we need to consider as fans.

I made that same decision a few week back.

I think Paul's right, Lai has thrown him under a bus, difficult to see what Gourlay could say that would appease both sides.

'I'm off' might be a good start

I have heard nothing about prices but fully expect a price increase. In fairness, our prices have not moved for a considerable time.

neither has our football

All current season ticket holders should have a free hit for next season.
After all that wouldn't equate to much more that the 'loan' that Lai currently owes.

Should we keep a 35 year old whose legs have mostly gone for another season? This would be exactly the sort of decision most of us have been complaining about (ie unimaginative, lazy, signing too many that are overage, and showing too much loyalty to existing players). It's 100% a no from me.

Let him go so long as we don't replace him with a 37 year old who's legs have gone, We have history in this field

Aye this is true enough.

It's all very well saying more attacking players will have more goals involvements but Grady hasn't, Grant hasn't, BTA hasn't, Dike hasn't.

I'm not talking about a five yard pass 70 yards from goal, I'm talking significant involvement that isn't actually an assist.

Assist stats are rubbish anyway. A player "A" can run 70 yards, beating four players (not in an Albion shirt obviously  ;)), pass the ball to player "B" who then taps the ball five yards sideways infront of an open goal to player "C" and player "B" gets the assist. It doesn't tell half the story.

Can you tip the scouting team off as to who player A,B, and C are? Carlos can get them in for next season.

Its hard to be optimistic for next season wiht our current ownership. I just hope that if Carlos can get a few more players that suit him then we will see results.
We really need a striker.

We've needed a striker since we lost Jay Rod and Gayle
