He also said before the game, it would be a full house, actual figure 30,000 approximately. And their new keeper looks iffy to me, responsible for two of the goals imo

Their season ticket holders got free tickets.

It's still early days but I think Dean Smith is a bit similar to Rowett in terms of reputation (obviously their styles are very different).
They're not bad managers for the Championship but seem to thrive at smaller clubs with lower budgets, rather than the bigger teams with more ambition; i.e. like Hodgson is in the Premier League.

If they lose Abraham he is irreplaceable, it would probably be worse than Gayle leaving us in terms of impact.

There goes Villas play off hopes just hope they don't get in an adequate replacement.
My bet is despite leaving with 20+ games to go he still finishes their top scorer
O Albion we love you

Can see them going for Brentford's maupay they are already in a s hit or bust situation with ffp so another £15M ain't going to change things much.at least they have owners who know where the cheque book is sadly

If they sign Maupay and play him with Grealish, it will be like them having Tom Daley and his twin brother  :P :P

John Percy Twitter account:

As per @StuartJamesGNM, Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is staying at #avfc for the rest of the season and will not be moving to @Wolves.

Awful news.

Hardly 'awful' news. As long as Albion do their bit in the last 20 games Villa's form will be irrelevant. They need to get at least 50 points from their last 20 to even have a sniff of automatic, and this with easily their best player (Grealish) missing until at least next month and a dodgy, ageing defence to try and patch over til seasons end.

Apparently Abrahams has turned down the Wolves because it was another loan, according to a couple of journalists if Wolves want to make it a permanent switch he will go.

Tammy stopping at Villa after rejecting Wolves.

He didn't reject Wolves, he failed his medical due to an insufficient number of fingers.

Absolutely 0% ITK  ;) .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

Why would you need sufficient fingers to be a striker....oh, ask Jay Rodriguez!*

*Technically not his fingers used in that particular goal but seemed close enough!

Why is is they get to keep Abraham yet we lose Barnes. Why is it they always seem to get the breaks?

I hate them.

Oh - Ay - Oh super Jay Rodriguez.

So glad he handled that ball over the line.

Abysmal today!

Jeez did Bruce make some bad signings or what?  He must have wasted about £80m.

Grealish is huge for them and easily Premier League quality.

With the squad he has he is under achieving massively, and I hope it continues forever.

It's a different animal you have to satisfy at the vile when compared to Walsall and Brentford.
