The fact that Watford have fired Garcia should not come as a surprise just because it is Watford and that is how they roll. However the truly shocking thing is they have turned to Flores because he had some fairly unflattering things to say about the ownership following his earlier dismissal. Not only I am surprised they invited him back but I surprised that he wanted to return.

This might be spectacularly bad. I have the popcorn ready.

He is definitely a short-term manager but then again they're a short-term club. They have been decent in the Premier League with their approach but I think it's a bit gimmicky. Like us under Peace we did well for a while using our own methods which is what Watford are doing, but I don't think it will last forever.

I think the Wolves will be ok. They have a small squad which doesn't help with Europa but they've got quality and the contacts to get out of it in January.

I do think Villa will struggle though as I don't rate Smith and think he's getting shown up at this level.

Yeah Wolves will just buy their way out of trouble come Jan. It's what they do and i'm jealous of their ownership.

Much as the bottom end of the table gives me a warm glow it is way too soon to take anything for granted. A win for any of the teams down there propels them into mid-table.

I suspect Wolves won't be in this position for long. The wheels might be dropping off the Watford band wagon I'm not sure how frequently they can turn the same trick of firing the Head Coach to illicit an improvement in performance. Villa are a newly promoted side and as such they are always likely to be vulnerable to relegation just as Sheffield United are and despite their heroics of yesterday Norwich.

I still think the established teams with major issues are Palace and Newcastle despite noteworthy results in the early weeks of the season I would be a lot more concerned for them than I would be for Wolves

The longer Wo1ve5 stay in the Europa League the better IMO.  As long as they don't win it of course.

They are struggling now. Wouldn't surprise me if the fans turn on Nuno soon.  The ficklest fans in the world.

If Watford go down, I wonder if Foster might be interested in a couple of final years with us.

Stuff him.

Happy enough to walk out.

I hope he suffers another relegation.

Wolves will be ok but won't emulate last year.
Villa will survive once Smith is sacked and Pulis takes over.
Sheff Utd and Norwich will probably be bottom 4 along with Brighton and Newcastle.

Me too. Cannot understand the love in a lot of fans have with him. Should hopefully retire at the end of the season.

Well done Craig and Ben on stopping City from breaking the record for a top flight win (a 12-0 victory for us against the mighty Darwen). I was genuinely worried for a while.

Finished 8-0. Shame City could not beat the record.
