Barry Hughes, who was in our youth team for several years early 60's, has died in the Netherlands. After leaving us he spent his entire playing and coaching career in Holland, credited with discovering Ruud Gullit and having Louis van Gaal working for him. He was perhaps most famous as the "Entertrainer" with a couple of pop numbers which made the Dutch Top 10. He was also well known for performing on stage during the Dutch Carneval season. Football wise his teams were average 2nd division, but he was very media friendly which must have helped him in his career.
