Let me guess...we boot the ball up the pitch with no thought and our "strikers" will be non existent?

I wonder how long it will take for the home crowd to turn on the board on Friday?

After Tuesday night I’ve got a feeling this may be one of those games where if it’s not going our way the atmosphere will turns poisonous both towards Val and the board.

Here’s hoping for an early goal which will hopefully create a positive atmosphere

Hear Hear Liam, an early goal or two would be a real settler, the longer it goes on the more vitriolic the atmosphere will become. Also think it will be a meagre crowd.
I'm not going as I have plans with my wife, in fact I probably won't even get to watch, which I'm not that upset about, I maybe need a bit of cold turkey!  :-\

Can I join you and the wife?

Currently sounds more appealing than watching the game and having to see SmethDans ugly mush.  ;D

                         Johnstone

              Kipre    Bartley     Clarke

G -Hickman Molumby Mowatt Townsend

              Fellows  Phillips   Grant

I don't know why but I've got this feeling Val is going to hand Tom Fellows his debut. No ITK or anything, might be a million miles off but just got this feeling.

I will be disappointed if TGH isn't recalled at the expense of Furlong.

Is Fellows any good? Genuine question as I have not seen the lad play.

For the U23's he is very good IMO. No-nonsense player. Head down and get past people.

I believe our long suffering and loyal fans will be pivotal in providing the motivation and drive for a much needed three points we so badly need from the team

Looks like Snodgrass' absence isn't down to injury but VI would enlighten as to why he'd missed last 2 games !

Probably told him what we all know, we can’t play these tactics!

I wonder how long it will take for the home crowd to turn on the board on Friday?

Think there seems to be a growing sense that the ownership are copping for it at the minute. For all the mistakes of the last 4 years under Lai, they have been fortunate not to be on the receiving end of more ire from the fans at the ground. Last season could have been wretched in the early Allardyce days.

In some ways I think the ownership deserve it, but looking around the squad you wonder how well they’d deal with it. The leaders are hardly the kind you want around. Livermore and Bartley are second rate seasoned pros and beyond that it looks like a bunch of alright-ish son-in-law types, who’d all throw their arms up and say ‘it’s not good enough lads’ to no-one in particular…

A performance like Tuesday and an early goal as Liam has said will settle some fans. Obviously there was a split in opinion on Tuesdays performance so that won’t solve everything.

A win is so so crucial here.

I won’t lie I’m dreading this. They’ve got a darn good manager who adapts and learns and plays the best way for the players he has.

We don’t.

You cannot continue with the forward line the way it is, it doesn’t work. He lines up like he did the last two games and we aren’t scoring.

If we start poorly then I dread to think what the atmosphere will be like.

0-3

Starting to feel like we need a yard sale.

I rarely predict defeat but I think this will be the end of our unbeaten home record. For a team 3rd in the league we look a bit beleaguered, especially up top, so I don't see where the goals come from, regardless of who plays the first 60 or last 30.

0-2

I'm not going, but, if I was, I would be on edge from the first whistle and I think that will apply to not only a lot of fans, but the players also.
So hope I'm wrong and I miss a classic thrashing.

Snodgrass has hardly pulled up any trees since he's been here anyway so personally I'm not overly bothered that he's out of the picture.
