They will win it easy, literally nobody in there could trouble them over two legs

Big win, probably made the subs 10 minutes too early in hindsight which harmed us. That said, the ref was woeful and missed a clear pass back and gave them a lot to work with. Mowatt motm for me.

He kneed it didn’t he? Only a back pass if off the foot

He is a waste of space, time and money,  as i said when we signed him. But as usual no one listened.

There’s no way anyone could say he was a waste of money when we signed him no one knew anything about him really. You could have just said it off the back nothing and it’s come true but that’s it.

Let me guess you always knew that Kipre would come good as well?

The wages in the last accounts for y/e 2022 was about £43m.

I can’t see how we have trimmed £20m off that, this would have been without Wallace, Swift etc.

Not aware that there was another drop in the players wages after we lost parachute payments

We are a town with a city either side, I firmly believe we are the best supported ‘town’ team in the country considering our pretty non existent catchment area. Wolves have basically Staffordshire up to Stoke and a load of Shropshire. We have villa 3 miles away and wolves about 10 miles the other way.

Look at wolves attendances during their time in the championship between 2012 & 2018. Regularly getting under 20k

Second half he was better but first half some of his passing again like the last couple of years was abysmal

How many of you were there? Looks like it's cheaper to buy tickets for the rugby world cup than adult tickets on the Tilton in the Championship...... OK so it's more expensive to get there than it is getting to Small Heath but the salient point remains the same  ;D .

 :D That’s £120 each person.

On your second point it depends where you are coming from as the flight to Toulouse was only £19 booked back in February

Just got back from a weekend over there.

A lot of travelling which was tiring but managed to see NZ v Namibia, Ireland v Tonga & England v Japan.

Best place for tickets is the official website, just keep checking as some come available and there is resale tickets.

We looked every day for months and managed to bag Cat 4 tickets for the three games so only cost £120 all in for tickets.

I’m with Zippy on this, love a chance to knock the Wolves but all fanbases have the idiots. I’ve heard plenty of stuff like that up the Albion.

And before I get asked why I didn’t report it, well I don’t know the answer to that unfortunately, not great but will admit it.

Sporting Khalsa weren't they a top Sunday League team some years back?

Khalsa Sports were a top team in the Warley League for a few years, don’t think they are connected.

Surely after yesterday there must be a takeover pretty close, we were told we needed to sell to basically continue as a football club

What’s actually going on? We were told that we need to make sales, even if they are unpopular, it was also mentioned in the accounts about it.

Now we’re saying there are no more outgoings looking likely and we could be signing a couple.

Oh that will scare the Chinese to death.

What do you suggest? & I’m not having the just ‘support the lads’ argument either because the place was basically a morgue last season

« on: August 09, 2023, 09:48:20 AM »
He looked much better in his 3 games under Corberan though, and he's pretty much the only CB who carries a goal threat at corners.

Bound to be rusty after being out since November last year. I'd prefer Bartley in the back four to either Kipre or Ajayi.

So would I…… but that says more about Kipre and Ajayi

He weren’t good enough when we signed him how many years ago. After the blues game last season everyone was pretty much saying he shouldn’t wear the shirt again.

& we are still in a position where we are hoping that he can be the one to sort our defence out. Sums up the last few years really.

Not a fan of Chalaboh in the slightest.

But there’s nothing worse than fans giving out stick then get offended and outraged when someone gives them some back, talk about snowflakes.

Lets just settle down and see how things start to pan out after a few games.

They will pan out the same as they always do for these players.

Not been good enough for a couple of years, that’s not going to change from May to August

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: The summer / next season
« on: August 04, 2023, 01:09:40 PM »
Loving the optimism but I have none unfortunately.

During the last two seasons we have really only had a good 2 months when Corberan come in.

Except for first half against Boro I cant really remember us playing well this calendar year either.

Because of that and because we probably a weaker squad than we have had over the last 2 years theres nothing that gives me hope that these players can go better than the positions of the last 2 seasons.

Fingers crossed they prove me wrong & everyone can tell me how much of an idiot I am

I’m not a huge fan of Diangana, basically because he’s not been up to standard for basically 3 years.

Although, one thing I definitely can’t knock is his work rate and defensive work

Come on Alex , I know you love this club. Tell then "I ay gooin, I am still under contract and I have no wish to go to Luton Town thank you. Simples

When has this ever happened? 99/100 if players have a chance to move to a club either higher or more money then they go if club accepts an offer. Even if they are fans of the club.
