The punishment for leaving a car accident needs to be the same as drink driving or worse. Too often you hear of people fleeing and the punishment is pathetic.

I think he should get 6 months.
He left the scene of an accident that's bad plus the other offence,very bad indeed.

Minimum 12 month ban for driving under the influence isnâ€™t it?

So basically, if youâ€™ve had a drink, youâ€™ll be better off leaving the scene and disappearing for 24 hours.

He'll probably try an excuse like he was fearful of his safety or something like that so had to leave the scene as soon as possible. Not many people just admit to things these days.

Fly in the ointment for that defence are the photos showing the scruffy git wearing a slipper on one foot and a slide on the other, while looking the worse for wear and in no particular hurry to be anywhere else until his lift arrived.
