I don't live at that end of town, I live about 3 miles away in East Hull. However, there is a 'spoons called the Humber Pilot about 5 mins walk from the train station, the stadium is about a 30 minute walk from there too. There are plenty of other pubs in the town centre though, not sure what they'll be like if you're wearing colours though.

Avoid the Tigers Lair on Anlaby Road unless you want to mix with racists or dickhead pretend "lads", I think it's strictly home fans only anyway.
If you aren't wearing colours, then you can always get a taxi to Princes Avenue which has a number of bars/bistros but be prepared to pay about £4 a pint. Next to the ground is Walton St Working men's club which has good cheap beer and is away fan friendly (I think).

Also in the city centre is a pub called The Rugby Tavern which is a Samuel Smith pub, it's cheap (about £2 a pint!), the beer is excellent and it's a proper pub (no jukebox and loads of old blokes playing dominoes!). It's behind the BBC building in Queens Gardens (just ask a local).

Thanks Hullbaggie. Plenty of drink for thought👍

Nah, I've never liked this only playing with 10 men system.
when HRK is on the pitch we usually play with ten men.

I have 1 spare ticket for sale if anyone is interested - face value of course.

PM me if interested.

Any takers? It's in Block N6. ;D

Would rather the ticket not go to waste if possible :)

If we have the same players missing through injury as last week coupled with Bartley's suspension
I'd go with:

                                                               Johnstone

                                     Dawson                Barry                    Adabarioyo

                         Phillips                  Livermore              Morrison              Townsend

                                                                   Barnes

                                                      Rodriguez            Sako

Subs: Myhill, Mears, Brunt, Hoolahan, Field, Edwards, Burke.

Weirdly N6 is showing as having 5 seats remaining when it was sold out on Monday...must be returns!

NE has 12 tickets left, E1 has 21 tickets and E2 is now on sale with 128 remaining.

I had a look on the Hull City website and they haven't sold too many with most parts of the ground having plenty of tickets for sale.

No worries, I forgot to say that Princes Avenue is about a 20 min walk from the ground too, it's where a lot of home supporters drink and is very popular on a Saturday evening for drinking/dining if you or anyone else is staying over.

As far as I'm aware Princes Avenue has limited free parking bays, also you can park on the road but again space is limited. A lot of the streets off it are either double yellow or very heavily used by residents.

I'm not sure if you can park on SpringBank West or even Chanterlands Avenue. If you can, it should be free but there might be a time limit.
A lot of the streets off Anlaby Road are resident only parking, but St Georges road might have space or The Boulevard, both can be reached by either Anlaby Rd or Hessle Rd and are about 10/15 min walk to the ground.

Last time I went the 1970's / 80's pub right by the ground (Brickmakers??) was great before the game (quality staff / average beer), but got pretty larrey after the game.
the road to the summit has dips, keep the faith when navigating those dips !!

Brickmakers Arms is still open , I'd totally forgot about that one!

Not sure what it's like for away fans though.

Can't think of the name but the pub near the park next to the ground is one to avoid , right on the road near some traffic lights.
Had a sign out saying away fans welcome then it got pretty nasty in there a few years back if i recall right.

I think you mean the George or St George (something like that)..it's now closed!
It did indeed have a sign welcoming away fans but was always best avoided by away fans.

Visited the George a couple of times over the years with no problems whatsoever.

It was closed the last time I went there in 2016.

Have they knocked it down yet?

We ended up in the New Walton Club.

It was OK in there.

The servers are often all over the place on away allocations and availability.

I've pretty much stopped paying attention to the site once my tickets are ordered now.

As far as I'm aware the George is still standing.
The New Walton club would be where I'd go if I wasn't a local resident, never been in personally but hear that the beer is good and cheap!

Both Hegazi and Gibbs fit for tomorrow; assessing Gayle and Barry.

Johnstone

Dawson
Hegazi
Barry

Phillips
Livermore
Field
Gibbs

Morrison
Barnes

Gayle

Myhill, Adarabioyo, Mears, Brunt, Sako, Hoolahan, Rodriguez

In light of the team news (looks like Gayle and Barry are out), I'd go:

Johnstone

Dawson
Hegazi
Adarabioyo

Phillips
Livermore
Field
Gibbs

Morrison
Barnes

Rodriguez

Myhill, Mears, Brunt, Sako, Hoolahan, Burke, Robson-Kanu

Its important that Rodriguez threatens in behind to make more space for the number 10s to operate in.

I can take no more 3 at the back. Time to end the experiment and play to our strengths...

System wise I fully agree , no issue trying something else but the 3 gets worse not better

From memory it was after the match , may have been that freezing day under Irvine.
Match wise I can only see a struggle if its 3 at the back again.

Dawson.   Tosin.      Hegazi.    Gibbs

             Livermore.  Morrison
  Phillips.      Barnes.      Sako/Townsend

                     Rodriguez

Nah..
We will be under the cosh losing 2  or 3-0 And Darren will shoehorn HRK in to replace a proper forward, to watch out the rest of the match.
