General Football & Sports / Football on TV
« on: October 12, 2022, 11:39:33 AM »
The EFL has moved towards lifting England’s traditional 3pm television blackout.
It has issued a request for proposals for broadcast rights from 2024-25, when its agreement with Sky Sports expires.
This was announced this morning . Is it good news or does it just open the way for more broadcasters requiring a subscription . Also wonder how the EPL will react to live games whilst some of their own are playing?

Interesting goings on . Health officials have stopped the game apparently because some of the Argentinans have been telling porkies and not quarantined on entering the country !

West Bromwich Albion FC / answers please
« on: August 31, 2016, 09:44:40 PM »
Will somebody that matters at OUR club please come out and say why this transfer window has been such a complete and utter shambles. We the supporters deserve answers as to why our signings amount to 1 free agent 1 loan and 1 player we have been after for the last 18month sin our sum total of 5 signings, in other words despite the MASSIVE INCREASE in tv revenues we have seen fit to do bugger all with such wealth. We as supporters deserve answers not platitudes, over to you Messrs Lai. Peace, Pulis , Garlick,Jenkins and Hammond!! >:( >:( >:( >:(

West Bromwich Albion FC / a club unravelling
« on: August 22, 2015, 11:53:45 AM »
Watching from afar these days it seems to me our beloved club is on collision course for the championship. We seem to be unable to much of anything these days. Cant sell the club, cant sign players we want, cant sell players we need to get rid of , cant score a goal!! Watching and listening to TP´s press conference yesterday he did seem abit down but pleased that Fabrizio seemed likely to sign, what his demeanour would have been like at about 5.30pm i dread to think.
Gut instinct and thats all it is is a feeling all is not well behind the scenes and that can only contribute to the downward spiral

West Bromwich Albion FC / leadership
« on: November 30, 2014, 04:55:34 PM »
Our football club at all levels needs a damn good shaking. Chairman, Board of Directors, Director of football Manager/Head Coach, club captain are all failing to provide any sort of leadership on or off the field that the fans can see and relate to. We are drifting toward the rocks of relegation and nobody has the nuts or gumption to do anything about it imho, this leaves us just drifting along with the dead wood banking their wages from the comfort zone of The Hawthorns and no not all the dead wood are players !! >:( :( :( >:(

West Bromwich Albion FC / unbalanced squad?
« on: October 06, 2014, 10:33:53 PM »
I keep reading this is our best ever squad,do supporters not feel it is totally unbalanced? We have  7 or 8  players that dont mind central m/f and yet nobody who´s natural position is wide right. We have many centre backs but cover at f/b is relatively weak.  Who will score if Saido gets long term injury??

West Bromwich Albion FC / Hamstrung......
« on: December 29, 2012, 11:50:20 AM »
Is it me or are we just getting a few too many ´Hammys´to be a coincidence. Only half the season gone and already 6 or 7 of our major players have suffered from a hamstring injury, considering our sports science/ medical department is reportedly well respected within the game i would have thought that this is a major concern especially as i doubt whether we have had the worst of conditions yet.

Anybody out there able to help? I have a couple of questions i would like to raise at the forthcoming AGM anybody prepared to ask them for me either because they are going to attend or in advance presumably in writing or by e mail,i am assuming you'd have to be a shareholder to do this.
