Was surprised how good his passing was too, particularly the one in the first half to Phillips, had Hoddle written all over it.Great debut by the new boys.

I know its only one performance, and we have had a look at him for a few pre season games, but if we have an option to buy I think we should exercise our option sooner rather than later. A couple of more decent games and the usual suspects will be lining up with big money to steal him from under our noses.......

Like you say its only one performance.
Let him settle in and see what we think after 20 games. I think in some games he might struggle for a bit of pace, but lets give the lad time to settle in before splashing the cash.
We all know that contracts count for very little nowadays, players sign a new contract one week then want to leave a few months later

Solid reassuring performance

Didn't miss either Evans or McAuley which is testament to how good Dawson & Hegazy was and also how poor Bournemouth were.

I like the look of him.

I missed most of the first half but based on the second half he looked very good yet again, winning lots of headers and getting good interceptions - hopefully he can continue in this form, whoever scouted him needs a pat on the back.

He's good and foreign so can't be Pulis obviously.

Man of the match again I thought, won almost everything that came his way. I suspect he'll end up being dropped but he won't deserve it.

Dropped for who though?

Suspect he'll be a regular in the team, with Dawson moving back to RB if Evans stays or we get another CB in. That moves Nyom back to LB and I'd imagine Brunt at Left Mid instead of McClean.

Very good start possibly man of match for his first two games, he had a battle with Vokes and the clean sheet says it all, to be fair Dawson has done his job well next to him apart from from trying to knock him out with going for the same ball.

Early days but looks as good if not better then most centre halfs at our mid table level.

had a good start and think he will get even better when he adapts to the pace of this league, wouldn't bet against him knocking in about 6-8 goals this season if he keeps his place. so far he looks a bargain.

I expected someone too raw for PL-level but he has shown himself to be more than capable to play in this league, though it remains to be seen how he fares against higher-level opponents. Nevertheless, I'm very pleased with his performances and can only hope his move to the club will become long-term sooner than later.

Also still the highest point scorer on Fantasy Premier League, so can't be doing too much wrong. Although stats don't count obviously  :P

Agree with you on this, every player makes mistakes; it's whether they learn from them that matters.

It's far too early to be making any kind of judgement call on Hegazi, he's only played 3 prem games. He has looked more than capable at this level so far though.

Would never write the lad off after one mistake, but I can see him being benched if Evans comes back into the team or we sign another centre back for big money.

Think that was always going to be the case though, I'm certain he was brought in as back up.

I would agree, TP's hand has been forced to play him immediately with the Evans situation and G Mac not being fit.

If Evans stays it's Hegazi and Evans for me until G Mac is fit.

I personally feel Dawson is deserving of a run in the team at centre back.
