I will finally get to watch a WBA game live. Here, one of our free to air stations televises one EPL game each week and finally it is the Baggies turn. It will be a 11.30pm kickoff here in Sydney, but I'll be watching and I'll be taping it on my hard drive.

I'm hoping we can name a real strong, fit and competitive side, we need to get yesterday's cup result out of our heads now and push on with the league. If we can grab a point at White Hart Lane, we'll then have a string of games where we will have a real shot at picking up three points consistently.

While playing in Europe is still probably a pipe dream, could we handle doing that next season if we managed to qualify?

Aussie, so much will hinge on how well we do in the two transfer windows.

Agreed mate, but I've learnt not to have my expectations too high.  So much has been promised in previous windows but nothing ever happens. A few months ago it was being reported that the fellow from Man U was almost certainly coming here, now it's a no chance.

But yes, if we managed to get 1 or 2 quality players then maybe we can look towards Europe.
At least a point on Saturday will help.

He's only just reffed us against Man Utd.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.

Indeed he has, this will be the 3rd time this season he's reffed us (Boro was the other). Michael Oliver has the Man Utd V Liverpool game which will the the 5th time this season he has reffed Liverpool.

We do seem to do quite well against them. Stopped them in their track towards the end of last season where they had Ali banned later for punch on Yacob. If we can deliver good set pieces we do seem to score against them. Hopefully a draw 1-1

Alli is on fire lately so we will have to stop him, enter Yacob.

Think we will get comfortably beat by these

Perversely I also fancy us in this one. Good chance to catch them cold being an early kick off and they'll find it very difficult to get through us.

Fancy a draw at least here. We've got the Indian sign over them. We'll lose 4-0 now I've said that

Some good old ref stats:

He's reffed us 20 times - the 5th most team he's reffed.

We've won 7, drawn 6, lost 7 of those 20.

We've been given 26 yellows and one red by him, as well as one penalty for us.

He's given 36 yellows and 2 reds for our opponents, as well as 2 penalties (not bad considering he's given 7 against Leicester in 18 games!).

He's also never given Spurs a penalty in the 16 games he's reffed them

I've always advocated for a rethink of how the referring is managed in England. For example when a prem ref has a poor game or makes a mistake he gets demoted to the Championship. What does that say?

I watch a lot of the old premier league years shows on Sky and in the earlier seasons the refs came and did an interview after the game where they state why they gave a penalty/red card etc

They get Far too much protection nowadays. i agree they should be explaining some of their decisions like in the past.Riely should be held accountable
