Been tweeted by a South American football journalist saying that instead of 'close to signing' which I had tweeted, that it should actually be 'deal done'.

He seems to be a well established in the field so I'm confident we've got our man, but he asked I don't reveal who told me as you can imagine!

Being up at Huddersfield uni I've been to see them play a few times (yet to see them win) and theyve been very average. As an assignment I had to interview Huddersfield fans just before the Charlton game and each one said they had been very lucky, drew too many games for a squad with their players and their league standing flattered them.

I think Clark is a good manager but since I've been up there i've come to realise the fans are not as content with him as it would seem, so I would be quite uneasy appointing him. Especially if he fails to get Huddersfield up again with the squad he has, which I don't think he will. Plus talking to mates who've been in his press conferences, they say he's not a nice bloke either.

Personally I would love to see Adkins in the job but he'll probably get Saints up and won't be interested in coming here.

where was he on the first goal?

Where was half the team on the first goal? That's what counter attacking is all about, exploiting the opposition when pushed forward and out of position, and Norwich are very good at that

How on earth has Jara been given 4's and 5's? I'm in disbelief. His best performance for us in a while, much more composed and great on the ball.

Too inconsistent, no end product, won't work back enough for a winger in Hodgson's system.

The work Brunt does in playing out wide whilst drifting in as a playmaker as well as providing defensive cover shouldn't be underestimated, but do you really think Tchoyi could also provide that?

Hodgson is clearly not a fan of Tchoyi, and I can't say I blame him

Long was exceptional all game. Also mentions to Jones and the rest of the back four

Fades out of games too often and brings very little to the table.

We should be bothered what other fans think,  We want there fans thinking poo West Brom are coming to town to support there team like you dont know what, Gives our players a lift and makes it feel more like home

You see some of these european matches like fenerhance , players are intimated fans are and makes it a fortress

Yeah and we know what happened there!

Some go to football to sit down and watch the football, and others go to get inebriated and concentrate on the opposition support for 90 minutes, and the rest are somewhere inbetween.

The ones who go to appreciate football and aren't bothered about atmosphere might get annoyed at those singing and shouting abuse, and those trying their best to get the crowd going will be annoyed at those sitting down watching the game. At the end of the day who is right? Who is anyone to say their way is the right way to be at a football match?

People are different, and not everyone wants to sing from the same hymn sheet whether it's an age thing or not. So get over it. If you really want to create an atmosphere by all means try, but you can't criticise 'oldies' for going to watch their team because they want to see some football, and not stand up belting songs. It's their choice, not anyone elses.

I hate how bothered some fans are about what other fans think of us, I just don't care. Don't get me wrong, I love it when there's a good atmosphere going. But I go to enjoy myself, not to impress anyone else, let alone other fans I don't care about.

I honestly think Shorey is one of the most composed players in our team, he hardly ever wastes possession. I find it crazy that it's suggested he is not comfortable with the ball.

Things have gone against us so far, that's hard to deny, but hopefully this will even out over the season. The view i take is that it's better for lucky deflected goals to be conceded against your United's and Chelsea's when there is always a sense of inevitability that we are going to concede anyway. Stoke are a serial bogey team and they couldn't break us down for 89 minutes until a characteristic Albion gaffe gifts them a win which being Stoke you know is going to be likely. We're 3 games down, and played 3 of our toughest fixtures. Let's now push on and hope that things start going our way in games that we need to go out and win like Norwich and Swansea away and games against mid table opposition.

Last year in September we were sitting 5th in the table, October we were 4th but come January and we're right in the middle of a relegation scrap. Then we push on and finish a respectable 11th, which i think just shows how a good run of form can be a stroke of luck or genius round the corner from a bad run of form, and the players need to believe they are going to pick up points because they are good enough to do it.

There's absolutely no need to panic until 4 or 5 games down the line when we're still struggling. I'm not kidding myself our defence isn't great but optimistic me says we've defender reasonably so far this season considering how hard Chelsea, and to a lesser extent United, had to work to break us down. Bar a rare blunder from a usually reliable Foster and we would have a clean sheet without him being tested all game.

Leicester away when we had something crazy like 9 first team players injured, and he played in back four with Martis and Hodgkiss. Pele was immense that day, remember thinking what a good player he looked, great ball to set up Craig Beattie's winner as well. Cannot believe he's fallen so low down the ladder

I don't think Hodgson see's Cox as an out and out striker in the same mold as Odemwingie and Long. Cox is vying for places against Morrison and Tchoyi if you ask me.

Yeah I agree, he see's him as the player RDM did, not as the striker he has played his career as. I think it's a shame as he is a goalscorer, not a second striker

Personally I wouldn't want to spend £4m on a striker who in my opinion is not superior to Simon Cox. Would be third choice striker behind Cox and Podem as far as I'm concerned. Would be decent back up, but if we spend £4m on him i hardly see that being his role

The only way we could get him is if we offer them 2 players (Myhill,Miller) and give them 4 million

It's a good point because blues' squad is so small, that giving them players that we don't really need works for both parties

How Muamba doesn't play over mancienne blows my mind. Muamba was really impressive at the Hawthorns earlier in the season and Manciennce is a centre half.

Also Sinclair over danny rose for sure, and danny welbeck is criminally overrated

He's also failed on the club scene, just look what he did at Wolfsburg. Probably the best squad he ever had to deal with out of Boro and Twente.

Yeah but he took over a Wolfsburg side who had recently overachieved massively and won the Bundesliga out of nowhere. It would have taken a special manager to maintain the expectations of the fans after a season like that
