5 days left of annual leave for this. It'd be rude not to. Not a game to take lightly but today proved (with the help of a few players who WILL be first team contenders anyway) that we have a decent second string too.

A great tie, managed to avoid the big teams and hopefully maybe one or two of them will get knocked out in the next round. Same result as the Cup game three seasons ago please.

looking at the rest of the draw:
Man City v Crystal Palace or Newcastle
Fulham v Derby
Liverpool v Swansea
MK Dons v Sheffield United
Bournemouth v West Brom
Shrewsbury v Chelsea
Tottenham v Brighton
Stoke v Southampton

so if we did manage to beat Bournemouth (which you imagine with a strong side then we should), we could easily get a winnable 1/4 final, so we should really be targetting this competition now

Would be a very attractive game for Sky. However Sky are showing Bournemouth v Brighton on the Friday 31 Oct, so don't know whether Sky would show them twice in a week. Either way, we should be playing on the Tuesday as I can't see Bournemouth being made to play on the Weds.

we're not one of Sky's favourites - so little chance I'll guess - probably better for us keeping out of the limelight!

Newcastle, Chelsea and Spurs are playing on Sunday 26 Oct, so three of those four games will be on the Wednesday.

So the Tuesday game with be between the Liverpool and Albion games (if you discount Fulham v Derby, MK Dons v SU and Stoke v Saints).

Amongst the 1/4 finalist will be at least 2 lower league teams due to the draw. There's also 3 games in which 1 Prem club is knocking out another. We have a very decent chance of semi final here and then it's in the lap of the Gods'.

Having said all that, we may get through, but draw Man City and get beaten to death with our own shoes!?!
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!

One man and his dog is plenty for Wembley's extortionate prices..... :)

Didn't we lose the last time we played at Bournemouth ? , I'm sure Eddie Howe the current manager (i rate him ) scored the winner ....from a set piece i seem to remember  ::) . Be a tough game , they don't lose many at home.
