If Phillips isn't fit I really don't want us to play mears.
Back 4 Dawson at rb play hoolahan right midfield?
Or Dawson wing back and bring tosin in.

Plug & Taps likely to be open by 11am as they've been given the heads up on trains and tickets sold. If not The Vic opposite the station will definitely be open as will Vinyl Tap as it will be knocking out breakfasts.

Just watch out for the plod marching large groups into pubs of their choice and keeping them there until just before kick-off.

Thank you for your kind reply which is very much appreciated. My question to you is “which pub will be serving breakfasts - will it be The Vic or Vinly Tap?”

I shall, of course, be on my best behaviour so as not to attract attention to the police and hopefully I can enjoy one or two pints of beer in friendly surroundings.

Big game for us after a bad cup result.
Also if we are really looking to challenge for promotion we can't rely solely on our home form we need to get some results on the road

I would happily take 3points from the next 2 games. Think that's the minimum requirement. See Preston as the more winnable game of the 2. Saying that I don't think we have won at deepdale for a long old time.

Leeds and boro have both got a tough run coming. Both Leeds and boro have a trip to hull, boro also going to Ipswich then play forest who are beginning to find feet. Leeds also have Yorkshire derby away at shef  Wednesday followed by hull away then Brentford at home.

Although we have two away trips shef Wednesday on paper being the hardest we have reading at home and Preston away if we can string together a little run and this coincides with boro and Leeds dropping points we really could stamp our mark
[/b]

It’s already happening. We are currently joint top in the form table, having not lost in 4 with three wins and a draw with both Boro and Leeds below us.

Not having a go at you at all but I think a lot of posters are more worried about team selections at the moment and are forgetting how well we are doing. Tough couple of games coming up this week and by no means should we expect to win - this is the championship - but if we can get 4 points I would be absolutely delighted and that would probably be enough to see us go top!

Going to be a really tough game.

Preston are down near the bottom but from what I have seen from them they are much better than their results suggest and will turn it around soon.

3 points here would be massive, especially wit Leeds drawing yesterday.

I am worried to hell about the prospect of mears playing. We are right up there but our home from has papered over cracks. Formation not working away we were totally outplayed v forest and blues with small Rally's at the end and we were none existent v boro.

As I said 3 points out the 2 away games would be a good return. Watched Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds last night and thought they looked very handy and Preston will be really up for it they need the points.

Preston's position is a little worse than their performances particularly at home where they have been dominant for large parts of games but haven't converted that dominance into points. Away from home they haven't been that good. Fragile at the back but decent going forward this won't finish  0:0. I suspect the first goal will be critical if we get it I would back us to win.

Mears and Barry for injured Phillips and rested Brunt. Right side worries me greatly. Nearly at the ground. Come on you Baggies.

If you’d told me a year ago that we’d be starting Tyrone Mears in a league game I’d have assumed we were about to get liquidated and have to start again in the 10th tier.

KB with reflex header from our first corner. On target and gets a very good reaction safe from their keeper.

SJ gone down with seeming ankle problem. Playing on for now

our passing and close control isn't very good. AH giving a corner aware because he panicked basically
