So our bobbins pre season form rolls into the regular season.
It looked a ropey selection pre match. Is it any surprise to anyone that we have conceded cheap goals so early into the game?
It’s so depressing that our lack of firepower pretty much ensures it is already game over after 22 mins of our first regular game of the season.
It will take a miracle to get anything out of this game now.

Puff piece in the express & dingle quoting BTA being saying fans should be excited by our youngsters & how they could be like new signings

Looks like we can all relax & no recruitment will be needed…..  :o

Genuinely delighted for Man City to win the ECL & the treble.
I  live in the NW & know many City & Utd fans.
I have found City fans to be completely sound & Utd fans to be mostly complete idiots.

My missus is a life long, long suffering City fan, (who was a season ticket holder through many seasons of utter garbage before her health deteriorated & she unfortunately had to give up attending live matches) & is like many City fans I know, who still pinch themselves at the recent success they have had.

General Football & Sports / Re: Ron Gourlay - CEO

With the exception of the unexpected bright spark of CC, our club has been in a steady decline for a number years.

The loss of the CEO is another negative step down an increasingly steep slope towards god knows what, leaving our horrific owner & his lackey now exclusively running the day to day activities of our great club.

This ongoing deterioration is simply not how successful football clubs operate at any level.

If we were watching this at any other club, we would, correctly in my opinion, be viewing that club as being in very significant trouble.

We are hoping for the situation to get better, but there is absolutely nothing to indicate that the owner & his puppet have any interest in our club, beyond what they can take from it, either by selling it for an unrealistic price or by stripping away money from the club.

We are sleepwalking towards financial meltdown and we should all be very, very worried.

Glad sheffield got through. They finished 3rd in their league, just the 19 points ahead of Peterborough! The playoffs are great for drama, but I think the playoffs are so unfair on the team finishing third.

Both of our fullbacks created a lot of changes tonight.
Sadly, they were all for Blackpool.

Great night with this result & results elsewhere.
Not a great performance though, but the standout players for me were Mulumby, Thomas-Assante & Palmer.

Great attacking play by Townsend & TA, only for Townsend to ‘jigsaw’ at the end of it.

Just before our 2nd goal, I was thinking, how they were knocking it about & playing it through us with ease, how earth are these lot in the bottom three.
Then we put them under some rare pressure in this game & they crumble, which answered my thoughts perfectly.

Great team goal, crucial interception by Furlong in our box, then great work chasing lost causes by TA up the other end for TGH to score.

I send my Missus to sit in the greenhouse with a transistor radio and she talks to my seed bedding plants.  Been doing that for 51 years now and let her out if we win!!!
🤣
Absolutely brilliant  :D

I'm on now TV mate and i clicked on 'sports' page, scrolled to very bottom and it was listed in the 'bonus stream' section.

I did this before the game kicked off though.

Cheers, I’m watching the app on an ipad & frustratingly the bonus streams aren’t showing.
Have had to kick the missus off the tv!

1 goal to pull back followed by another to win. Keep the faith.

Droitwich Baggie, any chance you could forecast the winning numbers for Tuesdays Euromillions?

Total stinker of a performance.
Not one player comes out of that game with any credit.

Truly astonishing how we have barely been able to string a few passes together all game.

Feel sorry for BTA. He has had ball after ball after ball fired at him from 30yards or more all game. What chance has he got?

Sums up the whole performance so far.
Seemingly unable to put together two passes, results in a backpass that puts the keeper under pressure in no mans land & of course results in a stupid, totally avoidable goal.
QPR have been nothing special & they have been so much better than us, it’s been a total rubbish, none performance from us so far.
Do we have it in us to turn this around?

I desperately want TGH to be a success, but perhaps our managers who have been reluctant to use him, have a point.  Other than the occasional great cross field ball, he never seems to be in the game.
I still think the jury is out with him.
He has been thrown in again for a very rare start in a poor quality midfield today & is having to play alongside the ‘living statue’ that is Chalobah.
TGH has tried to be positive & has looked to play the ball forward all the time, but he has been swamped in the midfield & doesn’t seem to have the wherewithal to find space or pick a safer pass.
