I saw the highlight of the disallowed goal on ITV, the only place I could see a still of the first pass to Gassama and he was offside. Not only this but in the next phase Windass was offside as well.

If anything the first one was missed and thankfully the ref intervened to give the second offside. There was no injustice, I wouldn't care if there was, it makes it sweeter to me, but not sure what the complaints are about. Rohl seemed upset it took a long time, but the ref had to go over and speak to the assistant.

I don't think Price was playing as a 10 at Standard Liege, I also doubt that's where we see him long term, as I imagine we've signed Bany for that role. Price seems an 8 naturally, energetic, box to box, direct. Saying that he looks a talented player and I'm sure he can do a job in that role, good players are adaptable. He created the most chances today that's their primary objective. Finding that perfect blend in the middle of the park will be interesting, it's crucial we have plenty of options and thankfully we do.

Don't they have goalline technology in the 3rd division? ;D

Exactly, they can only blame themselves  ::)

I still think it crossed the line mind you.

Getting a lot of stick for the correct offside decision.

Worth mentioning there was a clear handball from a Furlong cross.

The wait for our first penalty goes on.

I was pleasantly surprised with him today; I only recall one poor bit of distribution and he made two solid saves.

I've seen some criticism of him for pushing the cross out for the equaliser. I don't think there's really anything he can do, it's fired hard and low close to the goal, it's unfortunate it fell straight to Paterson. Bartley should have been closer to his man and made the cross more difficult.

Hopefully we keep a clean sheet again at some point, it's been a long time.

2-2

An absolute screamer

Certainly looks a questionable decision to send Caleb Taylor back given Bartley’s sending off .

We have 4 senior centre backs. We play 2, that should be enough. Unfortunately Bartley is thick as mince

Blues beating Newcastle 1-0, scored in first minute
1-1

Seems to be debate over wether it crossed the line. In real time I thought it was well over.

Anyone else staring to really hate Blues?

I’m not a fan of Grady , but I thought first half he was quite good and it was those around him that remained static cutting down his options leading to him getting disposed .
Furlong looks tired ….needs a rest

I can't agree on Grady. He can't play right wing, he also should have done better with that chance.

Yes, Furlong probably need a rest. Our only other right back is Holgate and he will be needed at centre back - thanks again Bartley.

Grady and Furlong were two of our poorer players today.

Furlong seems to have deteriorated so much since signing a new contract.

Grady lost the ball so many times. We'd be mad to give him a new contract.

John Percy
@JPercyTelegraph
Excl: #dcfc are targeting John Eustace as new manager after the sacking of Paul Warne. Blackburn are expecting an official approach for Eustace, a former Derby midfielder. Also in this: analysis on Warne sacking & why Derby were left with no option.

Very interesting ahead of our game with them midweek. Will it cause disruption? Seems odd as Blackburn are doing well and Derby look in massive relegation trouble, he used to play for Derby, but still odd. They must think they can get him if they are making an approach.

Late Derby equalizer against Norwich.

Another good result for us.

13
Heggem seems to be struggling of late is that the case Baggie fans?

Looks tired. He joined us in the middle of his previous teams season, hasn't really had an off season and has played every game for us.

Needs a break, good job we have lots of options at centre back  ::)

                     Wildsmith

     Furlong   Holgate   Heggem   Styles

               Mowatt   Molumby

         Fellows  Armstrong Johnston

                     Lankshear

This is what I'd go for.

Don’t under estimate the part the young lad Lankshear played , battled hard to disrupt so giving Fellows just a bit more time to pick the cross

He did well. Looks physically ready to play at this level.

Is it over exaggerating to suggest that when Maja and Dike return we potentially have the best strikeforce avaialble in the league?

Only dissapointment with Fellows is that when the space opened up on his left foot he blazed it over. If he ever gets that right he'll be some player.

Another assist.

Brilliant awareness to cut that cross back.

I hope to see a lot more Fellows to Armstrong between now and the end of the season.

17
This melee was all after the whistle, minutes had passed since his goal. I'm not talking about his in-game celebration.

Only 2 minutes. Both were justified imo. Anyway Molumby will always be that type of player, I have no issue with it.

Wednesday have one of the best away records in the league so it's massive win. It's just a shame Bartley has left a sour note on things.

18
I'm not saying JM is responsible for Bartley putting his forearm where he did, that would be insane. JM is responsible for escalating people to that level where that stuff happens though.

He scored a last minute winner, his actions weren't outrageous. You've got to trust our most experienced player and captain to not do something as idiotic as that, unfortunately he was a liability. Also he should have blocked the cross for the goal. Imagine the pelters Holgate would get if he did this.

19

Yep, he's wound everyone up and danced off down the tunnel. Needs to know when to reign it in and put team before himself.

He didn't get sent off, Bartley did. He has no one to blame but himself.

20
What did he do?

Pushed a Wednesday player in the fave and got sent off.

3 game ban. Hope Holgate is back soon.

21
Bartley you absolute moron.

Amazing win, Calamity Kyle doing what he always does.

22
I wonder if Diakite is the back up centre half option

I think that would be the most likely outcome, I hope it doesn't come to that!

23
The return of Nathaniel Chalobah. Seeing Price in the team makes me very glad we've moved on from that era of signings  :P

24
Fellows and Johnston on the bench?

At least there are options to change things if we're struggling.

No centre back on the bench if we get an injury there which is a worry, especially with Bartley.

It's certainly a brave choice.

From Mowbray's quotes it seems Wildsmith will get the nod this weekend
