Mowatt signing according to Percy. Would be brilliant!

West Bromwich Albion FC / February
« on: January 28, 2020, 10:02:03 PM »
Last game of January and fair to say it has been a dreadful month. We’ve somehow got to put this behind us, sign some players and get going again.

February fixtures are;

Luton (H)
Millwall (a)
Reading (a)
Forest (h)
Bristol city (a)
Preston (h)
Wigan (h)

We need 5 wins imo, hopefully Diangana, Gibbs and pereira back soon. Get Robinson and a striker in and go again. It’s still in our hands.

This should have been our second appointment this summer, after Moore. Assuming we will be appointing one as a matter of priority now. Steve Walsh would be the obvious choice, we need to actually get some sort of scouting system up and running ASAP as Terraneo sacked them all.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Points from the next 6
« on: February 12, 2018, 10:10:08 PM »
Next 6 fixtures;
Huddersfield (H)
Watford (A)
Leicester (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Burnley (H)
Swansea (H)

We need 15 points, anyone think we can do it? Got to win all the home games as a minimum and then hopefully win an away game. On paper it is possible but then you look at the table and see we have won 3 all season...

Is it that bad? If we can last till January then I'm 100% sure the new owners will put money in. I'm confident that this squad can stay up.

West Bromwich Albion FC / 532
« on: February 11, 2016, 08:13:31 AM »
Really liked the idea of a 532 last night, gamboa and mcclean are perfect wing backs and I'm sure brunt would slot in well when he's back.

With a full squad we could put out;

                       Foster
         Dawson mcauley evans
Gamboa                          Mcclean
              Fletcher Sandro
                   Sessegnon
               Berahino rondon

No need for Yacob as we'd surely have enough cover at the back. Chester could start instead of one of the centre backs as well, thought he looked good last night in his favoured position. Really think this could work and suits the squad a lot more than a rigid 442/451

West Bromwich Albion FC / This seasons surprise team?
« on: August 29, 2015, 08:24:57 PM »
Could we be this seasons surprise team. We have one of the better managers in the league. Our startinh eleven is a very high quality especially if we keep berahino and sign phillips.

Foster
Chester mcauley evans brunt
Morrison Yacob fletcher
Phillips rondon berahino

Could we be this years Stoke/swansea/southampton?

We will start to have a winners attitude due to fletcher and evans' influence. Really think this season could be a good one

West Bromwich Albion FC / What team would you like Pulis to use?
« on: January 02, 2015, 09:47:54 AM »
As in the title, what would you want pulis to play and formation?

Mine would be

                    Foster
Gamboa Dawson Lescott Pocognoli
             Mulumbu Yacob
   Sessegnon Morrison Varela
                   Berahino

Used to think the mulumbu and yacob stifled out attacking play but feel if we play them both we can afford to have two attacking full backs with yacob slotting alongside lescott and dawson when we're attacking to make a 'three'. I feel this would really suit us.

West Bromwich Albion FC / The Swansea way
« on: August 31, 2014, 12:53:27 PM »
Bony
Routledge sig dyer

Two fast wingers, with a clever player behind a good striker. All the tools are there for us, hopefully we play the same.

Ideye
Blanco sessegnon varela

I'd say ours is arguably better in all honestly, please play this forward line against Everton.

Ki Shelvey

Again ki would be the ball winner and Shelvey is there to play the ball.

Mulumbu Gardner

About equal id say.

Our defence should be miles better when all fit, foster in also better than fabianski.

All we need to do is play fast attacking football and we'll see the results, it needs to be done. If we play dull defensive football then we may as well have saved our money on players because we will go down.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Next years starting eleven
« on: May 18, 2014, 11:21:23 AM »
Just a bit of fun, what would your starting eleven be for next year.

Mine would be;
Foster
Almeida kayoute dawson cresswell
Thorne mulumbu
Nzogbia sessegnon brunt
Mame diouf

West Bromwich Albion FC / Trouble the best
« on: September 23, 2013, 07:33:12 AM »
Have we ever had so many players that can trouble the very best defences, last year we had lukaku and for half a season odemwingie. Now we have sessegnon, Sinclair, anelka, anichebe, amalfitano etc. If even just a few of those players have a good game then I would give us a chance against anyone. Bring on the next few fixtures I say

16
West Bromwich Albion FC / First eleven strength
« on: August 30, 2013, 11:44:16 PM »
Could our team be stronger than last year?
If odemwingie is reintegrated into the side added with the other forward players we already have, could we have the best side we've had in the premier league?
Strongest side IMO this year;
                Foster
Jones McAuley olsson ridgewell
          Mulumbu yacob
                 Morrison
Odemwingie               sinclair
                   Anelka

Towards the end of last year;
Foster
Jones McAuley olsson ridgewell
Yacob mulumbu morrison
Fortune lukaku long

To me our side now is a lot better, think we could do well this season in all honesty.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Formation for next season?
« on: July 02, 2013, 08:04:36 PM »
I think the players we're looking at hint that clarke is looking at playing a 433 with adaptable attackers, for example a team like this;
Foster
Jones Macauley Olsson Popov
         Mulumbu yacob
               Morrison
Kalou                         Sinclair
                Long
Looks pretty strong, much better than last year in my opinion and with perhaps anelka and di santo coming off the bench I'd say we would look strong.
