points by new year
« on: October 10, 2011, 02:36:44 AM »
we will have played everyone by the end of new years day!
so 19 games in halfway through how many points should we be aiming to have by then?

i would be disappointed if we dont have more then 15 points by then! i would be panicking if we had 12 or less.

i would be happy with 20 anything better id be extatic!

looking at winnable games: Bolton (H) Wigan (H) wolves (H) QPR (A) Blackburn (A)
is there no reason why we couldnt get to 20?

how many points do we need at xmas? least you would accept?

It looks like this year is going to be similar to last, with no-one imploding from the word go like Derby did, so it depends on others up to a point.  I'd settle for 20 now, but would hope for 22-23.  Staying out of the bottom 3 would be good!!

Theres plenty of reasons why we couldnt get to 20points. One of them being the way we have played over the last 5 games. Another being players with no confidence at all. Another being players asked to play a system that is alien to them having played a different system for the last 2 years for most of them. I HOPE we get to 20 if not more by xmas but there are reasons why we couldnt.

Its OK saying " oh we'll turn it around "........we dont KNOW that.

We DO know how we have been playing .........and that bleeding awful !

Time will tell as they say.

More than 20 points will make us a team on the up with a bit of confidence and momentum. I believe there will be 2 or 3 teams struggling by then. Three points on Sunday will be the boost we need.

yes not been the best start in terms of performances or results! its gone very pete tong since the chelsea game sadly! no reason we cant go beat the 5 i highlighted theres no reason we cant lose all 5 and beat arsenal villa and spurs etc.
