I can well understand the delay in making the appointment. Many names have been mentioned and I have changed my mind more than once as new names appear. No doubt the powers that be will have many more to consider

Potter has joined West Ham - not that he was ever going to turn up here.

I have removed him from the poll and have reset so members can vote again as he had a sizeable portion voting for him.

This is the first appointment by the new ownership so they want to get it right - if anything the amount of time and due diligence they're putting into the process shows how committed they are to trying to get it right. We could be like Gourlay used to be or Stoke are now and take the next available name on the list after a short interview - what could go wrong!

In a strange way I’m enjoying the Head Coach hunt and all the speculation. It’s a bit like Christmas coming - all full of excitement and hope. As it goes on the yearning for a progressive leader who encourages exciting and attacking football grows. I just hope that we aren’t disappointed by the outcome as we do seem to be choosing carefully. I remain positive for a good outcome.

Should've caught the Metro, the Soho Road's a bugger this time of evening in particular.

IF Jose is taking over at Everton, as per rumour, that's everyone who potentially would consider Cooper for me, having rolled their dices.

Wonder if there is a limit to the amount of GL he can be on.

No amount of wishful thinking is going magic up Cooper, sorry.

I'm past caring at this point. One day it seems as though we are close to announcing an appointment the next we are still at the interview. Ideally we should of had the new man appointed ready for this weekend so he could sit In the stand during the cup game this weekend then have a full week training them next week. I really hope it's not someone like this ex man utd assistant manager after waiting all this time that would be very anti climactic.
