Has it been confirmed anywhere if he signed in time to be involved tomorrow?

Why?
That’s bad management, the team should keep the shirts whilst they win and the squad wait until injury/suspensions /a loss

This team will evolve, but Grant has done nothing wrong so far .
If youre going to get told off, get told off for doing something not for doing nothing..

I wouldn't chuck him in if he really has an eye socket injury.   It's going to be a long season.

Nah, he won’t be involved until after the international break.

Interesting to see him come on and play more centrally yesterday. Heggem, whether deliberately or due to being a centre back, plays the left back role very narrow and the left sided wide player has to be really diligent with their positioning and tracking back. Grant has done this very well so far but it certainly is not a strength of Johnston's.

His signing , like that of most others gives us many options and allows us to reset if necessary during a game if required. Clear thinking.

If Carlos wants to shake things up he should let Mikey of the leash to play like Mickey Thomas used to - notionally a winger, but with free rein to come inside and do what he wants along and behind the front line.  I don't think CC will allow anything like this though, he's too wedded to his systems.

Mikey does remind me of Mickey T in some ways, good with the ball at his feet but can also look up and see the options, a bit headless at times, but can make something out of nothing.  Someone will probably now say that's complete rubbish, and maybe it is.

I thought MJ looked a little more like the MJ we had on loan last night however if he starts MJ then the defensive side of our team weakens. He's not much use off the ball.

That's why I think CC is being a bit hesitant with him, but you can afford one player who isn't much cop defensively.  I know it was very different then, but at one point Cyrille's instructions were never to come into our own half expect by a yard to stay onside.  Can't remember which manager though.

Very true but we've several who are very poor at defending: rarely see a decent tackle from the likes of Diangana, Fellows, Swift and they often get turned too easily.  I guess he should sub for one of those.

He has been abject in pretty much every showing this year.

He has also been much worse than Wallace but unfortunately its the latter who seems to get the kicking from supporters.

If you look at his goals from last season you'll see that's exactly what he was doing whilst playing in a system Corberan is wedded too. Probably just a coincidence though......

It's a difficult one because Karlan Grant has had a great start to the season but i just can't help but feel MJ would offer more. I feel like its unfair to judge him this season when he's not had a consistent run in the team.

MJ may provide more goals and assists over a season but his defensive side is lesser than Karlan Grants (things i thought i'd never say #2361)

If Mikey produces more goals and assists than Grant , then given the complete lack of attacking intent in the team currently, then for me Mikey must start .

Of course you were, which is why you didn't mention it.

Play them both. Grant can either play as supporting striker or you give MJ a free role and let him bring the goals and assists we need.

He was better yesterday than he has been since he resigned but he was obviously rusty and not match fit both of which are only remedied by him playing
O Albion we love you

Giving him a shot as a 10 might not be the worst idea. He’s certainly more active than diangana and does have a slide pass in a tight space area in the locker

I’d like to see Mikey as number 10. Think he looked good this week and he can finish. But equally I think people are underplaying Swifts importance to us having control and making our way up the pitch.

On the other hand Racic shows potential as number 10 too.

I guess what I’m saying is that on form at the moment it’s anyone but Diangana.

Diangana is going through the motions. I would play MJ and Grant. mix it up a bit. What could possibly go wrong??!!

Really have not been impressed with his contributions since returning to the club.

He's almost hiding whenever he plays.

A totally different player to the one who had that aura of confidence when he played for us last season.
