Any parallel to Colchester 1968. We were going out. Back to the shrine 4-0 and the rest is history 🤞
In those days we didn't send out reserves in cup games. I was at Colchester and at Chesterfield  today. We were lucky to get draws in both games, but todays performance was awful.

Well got our lifeline. What have we learned today our underbelly arent good enough; reach, grant, Livermore, button, kelly and Diangana. We should be trying to move as many if not all on this window if we have any takers...

TGH is not a right back. Ashworth hung out to dry professionals around him very much let him down. I hope he gets another chance in the replay and gets support.

The manager did the right thing he gave people a chance and most if not all let him down. But he is a ruthless winner and hooked as many as he possibly could. Still in the hat. Good performance and finishes from BTA.

On to the Luton game with the majority rested and ready to go
O Albion we love you

Interesting that BTA & Dike where both on the pitch towards the end....is this the first time? It ultimately led to our equaliser, along with Wallace coming on too. I'd like to see them both on together more often.
We needed a goal. Previous managers tended to make weird changes. As it happens, there were two strikers on the pitch at the time we equalised. Coincidence, fluke, or tactical genius? We’ll never know. Any road up, we’re still in the cup.

Having been today my assessment of the players.
Button - looks like a nervous wreck to me........ not helped by a few boo's - GET RID
TGH - not very good and wasted at right back.
Semi - long time out and it showed.
Kelly - willing but not very able poor signing. - GET RID
Ashcroft - very poor, I wonder will he make it?
Jake - Waddled about the pitch, as willing as always. - GET RID
Reach - Good pass to Grant, but otherwise dreadful. - GET RID
Grady - a real favourite of mine but bloody awful. He looked very pensive as he walked past us when substituted. He offers nothing, this is not the player we thought we were getting. - GET RID
Rogic - awful , no energy, overrated - GET RID
Grant - Wow, an assist, and a goal, in first quarter of game and then he disappeared.
Thomas- Asante - Don't you just love the guy.

Frankly we didn't improve a great deal when the 1st team came on.
Chesterfield the better side.
A nice day out spoiled by 96 minutes of garbage

If you score 3 away goals you expect to get a result, and we did, end of story
The return will be a different story

There certainly won't be 40k at the replay this time round.

Shame that’s not how football works. It’s a nice theory though.

A draw is a result. That’s how English football works. Next year, maybe not.

Could be. If them at the gates let two at a time get in per ticket.

Your summing up shows how weak the squad is Brian. No depth in terms of quality. First eleven contains some good players from whom the manager is extracting the absolute maximum. Add our current cash woes and it is a bit scary really.

When we were down 3-2, I admit I wanted us to lose. I have said in another thread, happy enough with cup runs, but don't really care about them and don't wand first team players exhausting themselves in them. Would have preferred a loss than a draw.

Anyway, back to the real stuff next weekend.

Seeing as we don’t have a sub section for the replay yet I thought I’d pop this here.

I’m trying to reserve my season ticket seat in the SME for the replay but can’t figure out how to do it?

I’m very good on computers but our ticketing site always makes me want to smash my screen up!

I’ve logged into my account but don’t see an option anywhere to buy for the replay.

Tried going to order history as it said that in the ticketing article but still don’t see an option.

I know I can call the ticket office on Monday but want to get it out the way.

Can anybody help?

If you go to your account & scroll down to a "home page" section with a red coloured background.
Go to the community tab & then reserved tickets.

They're not loaded yet, but they have been reserved.
If it was easy, it wouldn't be Albion

Liver, I said squad, not team. The first eleven is fine for this division but there’s not much behind them. That’s all I meant and I stand by it.

Getting knocked out by non league opponents is not an acceptable option for me, and obviously not for the gaffer either, he didnt have the intention of throwiing the game to concentrate on the league.

Found it with your help, I assume we will be able to buy from tomorrow I’d have thought?

Should be, but don't hold your breath, it's not the best ticketing system in the world.

Ticket link is now live. If buying multiple tickets do as John says and go to 'community/reserved tickets' as 'order history' only takes you to your own ticket as opposed to friends and family. Loaded ours straight onto our Stile Cards. No hassle whatsoever. Logged in and out in no time at all.

Awful performance but it’s not surprising given the lack of time playing as a team, in fact how much time playing competitive football do some get, they were playing a highly motivated team who are bang on form.
BTA was playing at close to this level recently and ha stepped up, why would we think that they would not have players capable of doing the same for a one off?
I do however struggle to understand how Button can be so poor on a consistent basis, and I am also concerned that Diangana will never again be the player we had

You're welcome. If you've never added a cup fixture to your Stile Card before (if you haven't already done so) be aware that once you've purchased it you then have to activate/load your card via your account for it to become valid for the fixture itself.

Yeah luckily I had noticed that on there and did it, but again thanks for heads up.
