Starts for Ajayi, TGH, Kelly, Grant, Diangana and Reach. Fill up with the youngsters.  Maybe Rogic, Molumby, Dyke on the bench.

Any one got any information about parking and pubs?
The usual away grounds guides don't seem to go that far down the pyramid
Ah just found this
https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/conference/conference-premier/proact-stadium-chesterfield.html
Just across Sheffield Road from the Proact Stadium is the Glassworks Pub. This pub has been recently refurbished and has up to eight real ales on tap, four of which are from the local Brampton Brewery, who also own the pub. It welcomes both home and away supporters. Further up Sheffield Road (a five minute walk, passing a handy Chinese/Fish & Chip shop on the way) and turning right into King Street North is a micropub called the Beer Parlour. As well as ales and ciders it has a number of bottled beers for sale. Although welcoming to away fans it is on the small side. Further up the Sheffield Road is the Derby Tup. This pub normally has ten real ales available. Although the pub does not sell food, the landlord allows customers to bring in food from outside. Further on up Sheffield Road on the right is the well placed North Sea Fish and Chip shop, which was doing a brisk trade on my last visit. Further up on the left is the Red Lion pub, which serves beers from the Old Mill Brewery and shows Sky Sports.
Leave the M1 at Junction 29 and take the A617 towards Chesterfield. At the end of the dual carriageway at the edge of the town centre, turn right onto the A61 towards Sheffield. At the first roundabout turn left and the stadium is down on the right. For the main entrance turn right into Sheffield Road and then right again into the Club car park. However, the club car park is for permit holders only. There is nearby street parking available on side roads off the Sheffield Road if you arrive early enough. Alternatively, the large Tesco store by the ground has set aside part of its large car park for matchday parking costing £5 per car.

World Cup is history and has no bearing on current fitness.  Most recently they have played 5 matches in 17 days.

Real banana skin, they are in great form. Don’t really want a loss to a non league team on our CV

I feel we’ll lose if we throw in lots of untested PL2 players.

CC has rotated around 6/7 players on the bench, give them game time and maybe keep  Palmer, O’Shea, Molumby and BTA in

We’ve played a game extra than most. Remember that game we had in hand? It’s gone now. Hence our sudden rise in the table. Personally, of all the times we’ve sacrificed FA Cup glory for points in the League, this is the first time ever I would accept it. There seems to more at stake.

We can beat a non league team and still do well in the league.. we aren’t that poor.

That wasn’t my point. We’ve played one more game than others in a very short space of time, and achieved a lot points wise. We now have another string of games that, on paper, are tougher than what we’ve just undertaken. Some players will require resting. The rest, again, on paper, should beat a non-league team.

Right: you have the choice go for FA cup glory or try to get promotion.

With the FA cup you can get as far as the big teams put out a second string then in the last 8 you're gone.

We have a better chance of retaining Corberan if we get promoted.  Other wise he's off to somewhere like Southampton  - the people who stole Ashworth from the FA.

We've played a more congested fixture than most in this league and IMHO getting promotion via the playoffs is more realistic than winnig the FA Cup.

I repeat if we can't use a few PL2 players to go up against a 5th tier side then what is the point of retaining them?

Palmer is without a doubt our best goalkeeper. I wouldn't risk him being injured (we need him for league games) so would play Button instead.

Ashworth went to Brighton from the FA not Southampton.

Sometimes when we make wholesale changes we struggle against Lower league sides, not because the players aren't good enough but that they don't play together often enough to have any kind of playing relationship whereas the opposition tend not to make too many changes and have a more coherent side.

I'd bring in Button, Ashworth and Livermore from outside of the first team and give minutes to Ajayi, Dike, Rogic, Diangana, Grant, Pieters, Furlong and TGH.

It doesn't have to be one or the other though is it?

Forest had a cracking cup run last season. It didn't harm their promotion push. It rarely does.

Without a doubt going up is more important than ever before, we need to get rid of this owner

There's absolutely zero guarantee a buyer will match the asking price regardless of which division we're in. Promotion would secure more in TV revenue and potentially prize money. That's it.

Nothing else except for an increase in exposure, what we pay players and the Inland Revenue. Promotion doesn't guarantee new owners, a sad and sobering thought perhaps.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

...

You're correct, sorry, got my south coast teams mixed up.

How good an outfit is BHA?  It loses a decent manager to Chelsea but picks up De Zerbi from nowhere (ok war-torn Shakthar Donetsk) and carries on performing as a selling club.  I hope but don't expect that WBA is doing similar succession planning as every enterprise should do.

I don't think any Albion fans hate cup runs but this season many are saying promotion is more important than a cup run.
Promotion guarantees you £100M + compared with winning the FA Cup which brings in around £3.9M.
Our best hopes of Lai being likely to sell the club are if we achieve promotion.

Personally I love a cup run.

I don't hate cup runs as such but it's such a low priority relative to everything else going on at the club.

We have zero chance of winning it. Some people on here even believe we ain't good enough for the champo so how are we going to win a cup?!

Think we should start with a strong lineup and hopefully after putting tie to bed in first half make the changes. Don’t forget player’s are only coming back after a month off and with five subs in-effect most should be fresh. Would like to see us going on cup run and coach taking it seriously for once.

Will be interesting to see the line up of course. Chesterfield fans are very bullish about their chances on their forum. It will be a hard game and it would be a shock if he do lose

Not quite on Woking scale but near enough. Considering our form and the gulf in divisions. I know some fans wont be bothered either way
