Pity Rob Green isn't on the team this year.  He nicked us a point last time!   :D

What has been going wrong with the US Septic? On paper your squad is surely second best in the group and yet you’ve had some really poor results this year. One of the preview podcasts I listened to saw all three pundits rank you as coming last. Is it a bit like the old English “golden generation” and they just aren’t gelling?

Pretty much.  They're still a young group, and haven't been battle tested against the types of teams you see in Europe.   I mean, we finished 3rd in qualifying tied with Costa Rica.  And we saw their performance against Spain...  If only we had Darryl Dike up front and healthy!  :P :P

Hope springs eternal.   Keep it respectable tomorrow and try to hang a crooked number on the board when we play Iran.

Iran all over Wales!! Unlucky not to be 1 or 2 nil up. No doubt Bale will get a last minute winner.

That’s where VAR works as it should. Ref probably didn’t realise how high and late Hennessy was  as a defender was round on the cover and probably was the reason he only gave a yellow originally

But but England only beat farmers...that's why it was 6-2..

Technically they can still knock us out if tonight goes badly...

On that showing they would struggle to knockout a w***

I think a draw tonight effectively puts us through.

The only way for us to go out with a point would be if Wales beat us by at least 6 goals and even then we could still get through on goal difference / goals scored or head to head if Iran failed to beat USA.

I'm thinking back to that World Cup when we went out against Iceland and the media were full of pictures of the Welsh Team cheering and sniggering in their dressing room.  Well I'm bigger than that ... no really!
I'm looking forward to us giving them the heave-ho when we line up against them

Bet Gareth Bale is regretting his comment ' There won't be a team in this group with more pride and passion than us'. Think some of the Wales players were so keyed up about beating England they forgot about USA and Iran ;D

Be interesting to see how brave Page is in team selection for game against England. One or two of the Welsh side just hadn’t got the legs seemingly to play top class, high tempo games 3 times in a week or twice in 4 days. When for example was the last time Bale did that ? Ramsey too looked off the pace and was continually put under pressure and run past in the M/F . Centre backs to were given the runaround by the front two of Iran one of whom has barely played since the end of September I think it was !
