To achieve what he has is amazing, long may it continue, only concern is that it will be noticed by clubs with greater resources than us, enjoy it while we can

Indeed…let’s hope Leeds don’t decide to sack Jessie Marsch.

The one benefit we do have is that Carlos has the Olympiacos experience fresh in his mind I can’t see him going anywhere this season no matter who comes calling, he’l know if he went to say Leeds & fell flat on his face again he’s pretty much back to square one career wise.

I’ve no idea how he wasn’t successful in Greece but boy am I bloody glad he wasn’t, he’s a proper proper manager this guy. I also think he’d play a style of football that would give us the best opportunity of staying in the Premier League if we got there.

I agree. A struggling PL team could be a very poisoned chalice.

What a breath of fresh air this fella is. His in game management is right up there and he is getting performances from some of the players that I didn’t think were possible. Keeping him long term will be a problem so let’s just enjoy the ride.

CC has achieved an absolutely remarkable turnaround since arriving. One wonders what possessed the previous incumbent to think that Alex Palmer was not worthy of starting week in week out shows how poorly led we were . The change of personnel between the sticks together with the disappearance of Livermore and the rare minutes for Grant have gone a long way to making us a force to be reckoned with .

Class act. Let’s hope we don’t get any premiership teams trying to lure him away.

The biggest worry for sure is a Prem club coming for him, especially because whilst we have big club (or big enough) potential, it still wouldn't be great to be a manager of a club run by Lai. Moving to a club more likely to back him solidly in the transfer market and at a higher level, would obviously be very tempting.

I hope though (and really do want to believe), that he knows he is on a path to create something really special this season and holding on and seeing us promoted from where we were could well lead him to a top 1/2 appointment in the prem, as opposed to a relegation fighting team.

We only need to look at Howe and his time at Bournemouth to see that this can lead to a prime appointment such as he has currently. I hope he takes a leaf out of this example, gets us promoted and sticks around a season or 2.

Oh and I freaking love this guy, I can't believe how much he has reinvigorating my passion in this club

I wrote on here the risk of losing him if a Premier league club like Leeds come calling and I think that is a real possibility now as he has won even more games.

If they do come calling I think he will go.

Regarding the run we are on, it is absolutely brilliant, but I have reservations that we can keep up the work rate we now have in games until the end of the season. It happened to his mentor Bielsa at Leeds in his first season too.

I hope I am wrong, bit this league is relentless with 2 games a week. Hopefully, some loan players coming in can help us with this.

Most on national media are raving about Carricks revival at Boro rather than CC here but that's to be expected due to Man Utd connections.

My concern is that if our chairman gets a call offering to buy out CCs contract with a nice bonus payment for the club, he'll snatch the buyers hand off

We have a blueprint now of the right kind of manager for the club, they need to be smart and have a shortlist of potential replacements like Dan Ashworth used to have.

It's incredible what Corberan has done. Some of us here very much felt we had the players to challenge in this league.

I seem to remember a twelve point gap disappearing with a lot less time some 20 years ago...can we dare to dream?!

I think that is everyone’s concern Albionic. If we can get a season out of CC, anything else will be a bonus as far as I am concerned.

The turnaround continues to frankly amaze me. We all knew the squad was massively under performing and pretty much any competent coach would improve us. However the best I hoped for certainly after the Sheffield United game was a gradual improvement culminating in  a top half finish what has happened since is remarkable and pretty much unprecedented in the time I have been supporting the club.

As an aside I am delighted that Carrick is already being touted as the next bright young thing, that alone might keep Corberan at the club for a little longer with Carrick being is seen as the next cab off the rank.

...

A decently run club in the Championship should always be looking at replacements for every position.   When, not if, CC is lured away by a club in the spotlight and prepared to spend ££M,  we should have one or two replacements in mind that are able to develop and get the best out of players, that train them rigorously, that have innovative ideas and tactics and are dynamic in the way they manage the game.

However when CC goes, I'm sure Gourlay will bring back Bruce to stand in the technical area doing bu99er all.

This is the appointment we needed last year when we got Val in instead.

There is still so much more to come from this side.

First time in a while we went for someone that made sense. The fit seemed right and was at least an imaginative hire. He is the real deal. I would never compare him to Pep but he has the same relentless, obsessive passion for the game. His ability to change and tweak things in the match and make substitutions that change the game is so refreshing.

Carlos Corberan has been an outstanding success in the short time he’s been with us and that immediate success will have been well noted by Premiership clubs.

One worries that if a relegation candidate club such as West Ham sack Moyes or Everton sack Lampard, might they try and poach CC?

I think it is inevitable Baggieman, the one we really need to worry about will be Leeds for obvious reasons. Hopefully CC is an honourable man and will at least see this season out.

Baggie fans are happy fans for the first time in a long time we are all aware of the situation if a manager or player do well for us it doesn't warrant a thread of it's own , enjoy him while he is here for however long that may be.

It's so disappointing when we should be talking about the talking about the brilliant work CC is doing we are distracted by our imbecile  owner.
