Isn’t in starting 11 as Tom has taken his spot so wages are a liability for bench warmer and should be moved on.

What if Fellows gets injured or his form drops off, who do we have as backup?
Selling Wallace would mean yet another signing needed.

Use Fenton Heard

Thought Heard was more of a 10 than a winger?

Dood reckons if we get a bid he's off. He does have some injury jiggles but is now aware he's behind Fellows and , at his age, wants to play
To me, Wallace and Fellows both play, one on either wing.

Agree. I assume the club knows this and has cheaper replacements in place. If we could save £500k in wages with a cheap replacement then the club will pull the trigger.

I do love Wallace if he is playing in the correct position, not sure if I'd want him to go, but if he stays would prefer someone else as captain.

He is more of a number ten than a winger.

I think that Fellows is more saleable than Wallace so Jed might be on the RW when the window closes.

Interesting with Wallace. He has 2 years left on his current deal.

Would anyone take on his wages in the Championship?

I’m not so sure.

I’m not so sure.

This is the hamstring to any potential deal.

No club in the Championship are going to take a 30 year old on his current wages as he enters his declining period.

Wallace' best bet for his financial future is probably to maximise his contract with us.

his wages are a liability and if he isn’t starting we could easily get bench warmers on considerably less money.

Very hard to sell him because of his very high wages.  He has 2 years left on his contract

Was thinking more of his quality as a winger from the bench  but you make a valid point about his wages.

Not good to be starting without the captain, even if he's on the bench.

We don't get much luck with injuries. We could have done with Diangana and Wallace either playing or being sold but instead they'll both be doing nothing. The season is likely to be a real struggle, especially with this kind of thing on top of our other perennially injured player/s and players who have left due to end of contract or being sold.

Wallace is the shadow of his former self and if he can’t improve we have a problem with a high earner not worth the salary he’s on.

I think his best days are gone, same as Diang. They don't seem to be the same although it is early days.  If an offer came in for both of them I would sell them both and get ST and CB as Ajayi and Barlty scare me to death.
