RG is just serving his obligatory 3 months notice. What is worrying is why he has chosen to go now. There are, as with Schofield, most likely more skeletons in the cupboard. The next few months are very troubling.

He isn’t. He’s working 3 months of a longer notice period, but he is going on gardening leave. The official story states it.

“Gourlay will remain in post until Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at which time he will be on gardening leave, having already served part of his notice period”.

His full notice could be 6 months, could even be 12. It’s not unusual to work some notice and have some gardening leave. It enables you to wrap things up and hand things over, without getting too deep in to new projects.

It is the timing of his resignation that is most damming. It may just have been that he got sick of Lai & Ken lying to him that they would be repaying the loans to the club, got to March with no money in and he decided to walk and he was done with them.

Maybe we are going for Brighton’s CEO Paul Barber to replace RG? We would then have Barbie and Ken in control!

We've got more chance of getting Klaus Barbie than Paul Barber.

Dood says new ceo is already at the club and English. If right it must be mark miles or pearce

I saw Pete the programme seller in the pub at lunchtime, he seemed very pleased with himself. Perhaps he has got the gig.. ;).

Mark Miles is head of paper clips apparently, runs all the behind the scenes stuff. Also responsible for purchasing the fax paper, but has yet to learn how to use it judging by a recent transfer window….

Just the chap for the job by the looks of it. No doubt DOOD will put us all out of our misery tomorrow

Al-Ahli Saudi Club
@ALAHLI_FCEN
📄 | Ron Gourlay appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Al Ahli Saudi Club Company

A club with almost bottomless pockets, they may need them with Ron

Maybe he can get Steve Bruce into employment. He better not come after the last manager, although I don't think the last manager would be interested.
