I voted Wolves and I'm 20. The more we play Villa the more the rivalry increases no doubt, but I get a lot more nervous when we play Wolves than Villa.

That 5-1 win was one of the best days ever supporting Albion.
Ohhhhh Albion we love you!

Understandable. But to some of us, last Tuesday was a dark day. Maybe in 20 years you'll experience something similar. I hope for your sake you don't. To some of us, tomorrow could be the last chance to even scores.

I miss playing Wo1ve5 in a way. Always beat them and their hatred towards us is hilarious, plus most of them are too thick to have an argument with anyway.

They're lots of decent Dingles but they attack a lot of real morons. I mean when they throw coins at you they often throw £1 coins the stupid idiots.

It still isn't going to work. Haha.  Sorry mate. The club should not be separate from the age groups .

Hi Jacko, I thought it still looked skewed any ideas? Could you set it up?

Cheers

Wolves for me, but I think age is relevant.
I am 22, it has only been the past few years that it's been us and Villa head to head. I can understand how a rivalry grows when it's just the two of you, which is why I chose Wolves as our biggest rivalry. Growing up the chants/vitriol was always about Wolves, now it's more Villa so.

Age is relevant as you've demonstrated in your response

Beat these arrogant fickle knobs tomorrow and getting one over them will only increase the rivalry in both camps.  8)

Its looking that most are going for villa as our main rivals but ill have to say  the atmosphere in the ground when we play wolves is much more intence and dose have a far more rivalry feel about it than  when we play villa ...

For an objective opinion, here's an article in the Telegraph about Midlands football club rivalries:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/11454791/Greatest-West-Midlands-football-rivalries-revealed.html

I was quite proud to read that Albion/Wolves is considered by many to be the fiercest football rivalry in the country.

Nice to see the West Midlands getting attention from a "national" (i.e. London-centric) newspaper at all, but I'd disagree with a couple of the ratings.  I think Wolves vs Blues is at least a 3/5 - they really don't like each other, and it's only intensified with Wolves sending Blues down in 2011 and now being stuck in the same division - and while us vs Blues is probably a 1/5 these days, back in the Nineties it had more spice to it; probably a 2 or 3 then.

Villa all the way although I hate the Wolves now as well

When I was young and we'd come away from a game listening to sports report (as you used to) we'd often cheer if Wolves had won. A bit like we do with Walsall now. They were irrelevant.

I feel like a large part of me has withered and died after this week. As always as a fan you'll bounce back (though like a ball perhaps not quite to the same height.)

Don't think I've found a defeat so hard to take in many a long year! I'm really not fun to be around at the moment!

I always thought I disliked them equally but after this week I must admit if we had lost in injury time and lost a cup 1/4 against wolves I would have hung myself....so wolves!

I'm 24 and always saw wolves as our main rivals growing up. BUT ask me who I hate more and it's Aston Villa hands down, every day of the week. The wolves fans I know aren't anywhere near as delusional as the gommos down the road. Never felt after a Wolves game, win or lose, the emotions I have against Villa. Absolutely despise them.
