I hope the club have thought of a sensible way of selling these.

The total scrum for tickets against Blues was a joke. They should be staggered sales depending on how many games you have attended this season.

They should, but could you honestly see it happening?
Don't think the practicality is possible in the short space of time they have in my opinion.

Where would they start on the away games I.e 5 games 8 games 3 games or just the cup ones?

Also fans could also argue they can only afford to pick and choose away games withy the home season ticket therefore shouldn't be not allowed an opportunity to buy a ticket if they haven't been to 3/5/8 away games.

All that went out of the window when the club scrapped the loyalty system mate. If this had still be in use then they could use that but they cant now.

There will be an allocation online and then an allocation for people who go to the ticket office. Home season ticket holders only

Id wet my pants with excitement even more if we were on the 5.30 slot

Not a chance, the police would never allow that.

Saturday March 7th - 3pm!
Must be an initial approximation given the weekend etc.
Can't see the coppers allowing this, but f me I hope they do.

It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

;D Playing Villa twice in 4 days reminds me of the 1960's, when over the Xmas period, we played the same team twice ie home and away within a 3 or 4 day gap.
Seemed to be the done thing in those days.

I used to love that; I think it was partly done to make fans' travel easy, so you'd play a team on a good train route home and away as part of the Xmas fixtures.

yes on BBC at least so says the Mirror (taken off their website) seems BT thought Liverpool v Blackburn was a bigger game than a WM derby!!
Quote
With their first last-eight pick the BBC understandably chose Manchester United’s clash with Arsenal.

BT then selected Liverpool’s home tie with Blackburn leaving the Beeb with the first choice of the remaining two ties.

Guess 2 games will be on sat (1 BBC & 1 BT) with the others on the Sunday

I'll hazard a guess at:

Villa Vs WBA - Sat 7th 12.45pm
Liverpool Vs Blackburn - Sat 7th 5.00pm

Bradford Vs Reading - Sun 8th 1.00pm
Man u Vs Arsenal - Sun 8th 4.00pm

If as it inevitably will be it's an early kick off I'd much prefer the Saturday. It then gives me the Sunday to recover.  ;D

Weve played villa numerous times on a week night and we played them at 5.30 on a saturday a couple of years ago,the 2-2 game in the snow.

I'm guessing the game won't have been chosen because Blackburn are playing. There must be another reason, but I can't for the life of me work it out. ;)

It isn't, however I believe our league game against Villa is on BT Sport earlier that week so maybe they don't want the same game twice in such a short time. Its more likely so they can have the Liverpool/Gerrard love in with about 5 minutes of build up saved to actually mention Blackburn.

Two reasons - 1. BT Sports already televise our game four days before so will not want a repeat. 2. BT Sports (advertising name) should be re-named Liverpool TV for the number of games they televise.
It is one of the reasons I will never subscribe to that channel – god help you if Liverpool get access to the champions league next season there will be one hell of a five knuckle shuffle going on in their boardroom  :P

BT/ ESPN choose Liverpool for their global viewing figures. Don't think you need a season ticket at Anfield as they show practically every game.

They would have still chosen it if Liverpool were playing the Dog & Duck FC.

After all, it is the Gerrard Cup this season and not the FA Cup.
