Is it time for the Coffin?
« on: December 06, 2014, 11:39:22 AM »
Someone posted earlier "is AI our least popular manager since Gould", I think he's less popular, possibly our least popular manager ever. I say the coffin should be 'on ice' at the Shrine next Saturday in case of defeat?

ps I know he is head coach.

I don't think you're helping the cause. This negativity is poisoning. Any chance of anyone posting something positive on this site?

Yep - when there's something positive to post. Positive / negative?!? Realism is what's important.

The fact of the matter is there is nothing positive Albion related to talk about at the moment.

Aidan, you might as well throw in the towel when it comes to trying to get anyone to show Alan Irvine some respect. At this point almost everyone feels entitled to abuse him in any way possible. I'm half expecting to see a "Let's kill Alan Irvine and desecrate his corpse" topic at some point today.

Only missed it by three days.  ::)

Bobby G is still alive and kicking despite Shrewsbury, who says Americans go overboard?

"Fifteen men on the dead man's chest--
...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!
Drink and the devil had done for the rest--
...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!"

I think we have the end of the season theme :)

Enough is enough!
What the f*ck has happened to some of you?
Who do you think we are?

I used to be proud to be a west brom fan. We were known by all other fans (apart from wolves and villa) as being good humoured, down to earth and with humility.

All of this negativity is both embarrassing and suffocating. This isn't who we should be or what we should stand for.

Has the recent moderate success under Roy Hodgson got to you?
Is that the root cause of this attitude change?

It was clear from the very beginning that Irvine, unless he won every game, was never going to be accepted here. Yes I know the football at the moment is workmanlike but we are still in the mix with about 10 other teams.

9 of those teams have significantly more investment than us, so unless a billionaire investor buys Peace out of the club we will ultimately remain somewhere between halfway up the premier table and top half of the championship.

Please accept this a put a stop to all this over the top negativity. It's now out of hand.

dont ask me to choose luv

Well said slate, I've stopped posting on here re: Alan Irvine as I find the vitriol & personal comments towards him are sickening & embarrassing, like you said I think we were once regarded as being excellent fans by many other clubs but now I find myself trying to defend us against snide comments that are definitely justified

This thread in particular is pathetic  >:(

I have to agree that this thread is in poor taste, I don't want Irvine as coach, never have, gave him a chance, but the football is beyond dire, but, we are still in the mix with several other clubs.

I really think he has a long way to go to reach the levels of dislike of Gould/Saunders/Little !!!
It's more the hopelessness re Irvine; lack of any real direction, belief or excitement from the fansbase with him and his poor track record.
Any ok start and disintegrated into basically a negative mess very quickly.

No, its not time for any coffin and its not something we want discussed on here so this topic will be locked.

Theres plenty of other ways for Irvine to be discussed but this is not something for Westbrom.com
